Living in VT w/my super wife Lauren & our 2 pups Roxy & Mac. Worked in politics doing campaign work, PR & gov’t affairs for 20 years. Still dabble. maga is antifa for the right. It means nothing and lacks clarity. Just call them what they are, Republicans

D Secretaries of State control 278 Electoral College Votes. Not that they should all say this now but they should hint at the fact that the constitution is clear & they won’t put Trump on the ballot in 28. If the GOP wants to nominate him that’s their choice but he has no path to a win so have at it

Politicians are not bystanders to the affordability crisis. We can lower the cost of living and make life easier for New Yorkers in real and meaningful ways.
Hey @sanders.senate.gov are still supporting this vile human being for the US Senate? Disappointing if you are. He needs to drop out now.
Graham Platner’s campaign thought they could silence me by offering me money and calling me a liar in the press.

I was going to let it go.

It has become increasingly clear they are unfamiliar with Maine women.

Platner’s actions are an embarrassment to our state on the national stage. He has no qualification whatsoever to run for this seat and a US Senate race is not the place to grow up.

@adamaaronson.bsky.social putting aside how impossible it likely is to trade Joel Embiid…if they could trade him who do you think the best fit would be with the remainder of the team? Just curious from purely a performance on the court perspective.
Rooting for a civil war is such bizarre & vile behavior. Because what he’s really saying is if the right doesn’t get what they want they’re going to be violent to try & take it. There’s no civil war w/out racist, power hungry white men initiating violence because they didn’t get their way. Children
🤔 I wonder would could have happened for them to change their minds?

I think everyone in NY knows that the @nytimes.com is a Cuomo campaign organ. They are providing electoral support for him and he doesn't have to declare it as a campaign contribution [but it is].
Best sports take ever from Lauren. Of course hockey players are the toughest. They get in fights in the middle of their work day.

He’s not being spineless. They support this. He’s showing the courage to implement and force their worldview on the rest of. Calling these people spineless or weak is making an excuse for them. They are fucking vile and evil and should be told so every chance we get.
We can not approach any political action or political debate as if it will be dealt with in good faith by the national political media. It’s a completely broken institution. People need to come to grips with this and shape their strategy dealing with these fascists accordingly.
We live in a country where the media is focused more on who a Democratic mayoral candidate defines as his ‘aunt’ than on the DHS Twitter account putting out white nationalist propaganda and replying to Nazis online.
Thinking about a debate in state legislatures about the constitutionality of someone serving a third term as POTUS may be the only thing that could ever get me to go back to work as a lobbyist. It’s a terrible idea to introduce a bill on this but that would be fun & satisfying work.
I don’t think that’s leaving things as is. It’s taking political action by signaling strength, exercising existing power & making it clear we understand the constitution which is clear on this point. I’m weary of any strategy that leads w/ambiguity opposed to the strength granted by the constitution
we think it’s unclear when it’s in fact perfectly clear. I think it’s really dangerous to send a signal that we think the constitution is unclear on this point. That raises a lot more questions than it will ever answer. If SoS act we’re saying it’s clear & this what’s going to happen. Now debate us
now without new laws so we’d be much better off applying political pressure on the people in power to exercise the power they already have. In this case it’s the SoS. If the concern is that SCOTUS will rule unfavorably, new state laws won’t change that. We can still have the debate w/out signaling
I’m arguing against the notion that passing a law in state legislatures is unnecessary, is a bad idea & the absolute wrong place for this debate. Especially in this media environment while also encouraging red states to pass laws saying he can be on the ballot. The mechanisms are in place
I just mean leaving the line for a Presidential candidate blank by force is not a norm. It’s following the law and the constitution but it’s anything but normal.
is constitutionally banned from running the Republican line for President will be empty on our state’s ballot. I don’t call that deferring to a norm. & it’s action that will have much more benefit than debating laws in state legislatures across the county. It’s time for putting feet down. Not debate
I don’t think that’s accurate. Secretaries of State control ballots for state & federal elections & there’s been discussion on this point. They have been thinking about it. There’s no need to over complicate it. They say he won’t be on the ballot. If Republicans want to nominate someone who
Dem Secretaries of State should say he won’t be on the ballot because it’s unconstitutional. End of story. Then they should put pressure on Republicans to say the same.

A debate about a law helps them.
Trying to pass a law implies there’s a question about one’s ability to run for a 3rd term. We should definitely not do this. The constitution is perfectly clear on this point. It will raise the temperature on the debate while not settling a thing.
this raises an important point: do states or localities have laws against seeking to be on the ballot for a third term for president? if not they should consider passing them, or other clear, firm measures to enforce the 22nd amendment.
HUNT: The president is talking about a third term. How seriously do you take that?

GALLEGO: I don't take it seriously because he will be in violation of the Constitution and he should be arrested if he attempts to do that
If @gallego.senate.gov thinks he should be arrested for attempting to violate the constitution why isn’t he calling for him to be arrested now?Trump has violated other sections of the constitution & attempts to violate others on a daily basis. Why is the line to cross always in the future? Weak
