Yvette Cooper must have fully understood that her unlawful proscription of Palestine Action was an attack on the fundamental freedoms of a democratic society. She did it anyway.

After today’s High Court ruling, she should no longer remain as a minister.

Trans folk and allies, flood this. It won’t stop them doing irreparable damage to trans kids in schools but in twenty years when this gets studied we’ll be able to say they knew the consequences and how poorly received it was.

As a fmr Australian Migration Officer, I have seen an overall well-managed, yrly adjusted, controlled, fair, empathetic, balanced, reliable immigration system at work. It was rules- & fact-based, designed w/ reason & respect. You cannot build or maintain such a system with racism or racist language.

the settlement process is already extremely complex, lengthy, and expensive; these proposals to make it even more difficult to settle in the UK are cruel

please take the time to respond to the consultation, which closes tomorrow
The UK government is proposing radical and punitive changes to settlement rules. This is settlement, not citizenship. The consultation is open until 12 February; please respond to it and oppose these evil proposals. Amnesty have a good guide: www.amnesty.org.uk/resources/gu...

Clive Lewis MP: This deal with Palantir stinks. It stank before Peter Mandelson was involved, and it stank when those now on the Opposition Benches initiated the NHS and defence contracts. Peter Thiel is an oligarch who despises democracy... Even the Swiss army has rejected Palantir...

When people say “but what about the good policies” they fail to understand the anger these things produce. As someone living on benefits due to disability & *still trying* to get PIP, the attack on disability alone was so personal, so cruel, literally nothing they do now would make me trust them

Five trans children died by suicide in 2019-20, 4 in 2020-21 then 22 in 2021-22. This is the truth, from official Government data, that Wes Streeting desperately tried to cover up.
One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
New data shows surge in trans kids’ suicides following healthcare rollbacks | Good Law Project
A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare

These lies are constantly repeated. "It's the pull factors", "Our generous benefits", "Our 5 star hotels".

All bullshit.

As with taxes, welfare for the general population & much else besides, our media refuses to show the full picture compared to similar nations.

We're worse on most measures.
"The honest truth is that people come to this country because they believe we are more generous than other European countries"
- little evidence for this claim
+ good evidence against it

We will "ensure we are no longer the destination of choice"
- v hard to give a definition that this is accurate
