If you’re wondering where the trans outrage is in this calendar. We’re not seasonal, we’re year-round baby 😘

When this #BBC article was first published, it accurately described Dr Beth Upton - the woman found to be harassed by Peggie - as a trans woman

The piece was then scrubbed - replacing an accurate description with a transphobic slur instead of the language trans women use to describe themselves

And Sandie Peggie v NHS Fife has been corrected.

"This quote comes from a different recent court case but is exactly as quoted" is the kind of judgement correction that simply wouldn't be a headline in any place where our media wasn't institutionally committed to furthering the demonisation and segregation of trans people from society
Like this correction is minor and essentially changes nothing but Istg the incompetence and carelessness of cis people in positions of authority is one of our biggest problems. You can't be this lazy when dealing with highly motivated, well resourced, reactionary cranks.
Sandie Peggie tribunal judgement to be amended in fake quote row
On Monday, an employment tribunal outlined four ways in which NHS Fife harassed Ms Peggie after she was suspended from her job.

Oh she is finding a way huh? I literally pointed out the way minute after the Supreme Court ridiculous ruling.

It is to bring section 14 of the Equality Act into force. Any of her lawyers can draft a reasonably good SI in no time. If she want it perfect, she can even hire me, I bill at £300/hr.
Fucking state of this. Acting like they are completely powerless to do anything since the SC judgement.

Any new way of including people without amending the Equality Act will just be all-new segregation, now with added ‘dignity and respect’.

Did the strategy include trans girls getting banned from girl guiding because this transphobic government won’t do the one thing in its gift that could ensure inclusivity and amend EA2010?
So proud the Govt is picking up from where I left off as Minister for Young Citizens & Youth Engagement 🥰.

I back @UKLabour's 10-Year National Youth Strategy, a game-changer for young people after Tory austerity.

Over £500m investment to rebuild youth services over a decade.

Sex baked rights.
I'd pay good money just to see her argument for these biscuits being "biologically male"

Radio 4 and BBC and Channel 4 News and all the papers completely skewing the Peggie story so your average person will have no idea what actually happened. Doesn’t this make you furious? Integrity in journalism is dead, not just in the US

You’d never know this was what was decided as part of that tribunal ruling…

HR departments countrywide need to start treating gendercrit employees as potentially hostile. As soon as you are required to interact with one, you dust off the rulebook, you dot every eye and cross every t, and you assume bad faith at every turn.

They are a threat to every organisation.

If the reporting on the Peggie decision tells us anything, it should be that the way news gets reported in this country has little to do with truth, and much more to do with narrative - as well as whose heavily spun press release lands on journos desks first.

Are they capable of presenting the facts in a clear, contextual and concise manner? Her partial victory was so minor compared to everything she lost on. Maybe try a headline about how it is lawful for trans people to access the spaces aligned with their gender? Transphobes gonna transphobe, I guess.

Just say it about trans people next time Joey. Easy to avoid consequences that way, just ask a certain Irish former comedy writer.

The Times yesterday, on how trans kids, denied the healthcare they need, are buying black market hormones.

Of course, this is *exactly* what everyone said would happen. And its risks are dramatically amplified by Streeting telling GPs they must stop offering blood tests.

Keir Starmer - "I’ve always wanted a Labour government but I’ve never worried about the future of our country under a Tory government."

The words of a man so insulated from the harm done by the Tories he felt no compulsion not to continue the harm not being done to him and his.

I think Transactual put it best (in reference to the girl guides) and now Labour too:

"There is no problem being solved here, only harm being done."

All to appease the right, who hate them anyway - shame on them.

An important reminder to the Labour Party that the anti-trans extremists they keep giving almost everything to can never be placated or pandered to sufficiently.

They will never be content without the complete eradication of trans people. Nothing else will ever be enough.

A reminder that Wes Streeting and the Labour government have deliberately chosen two of the worst possible experts to lead the review into overdiagnosis by the way. People already entrenched in that belief who will absolutely manipulate findings to suit their ideological crusade.
Alarm over government’s choices to lead ‘over-diagnosis’ review that could help ministers cut benefits
The government’s decision to commission a review of alleged “over-diagnosis” of mental health conditions and neurodivergence has caused alarm among many disabled people, with fears that it will all…

It is not obligatory for gender critical activists to defend a man who implied a child enjoyed being sexually abused. But they just cannot help themselves.

If you vote for Labour or are a member of the party, you *might* not be a transphobe, but transphobia also isn't a deal-breaker for you.

Shame on all of them.

Compromise sure sounds a lot like telling trans women to go fuck ourselves and be grateful we are even allowed within a ten mile radius of a women’s conference.

Think segregation is probably a better word than compromise.

Fuck Starmer, Labour and anyone who goes to this other than to picket.
