6/ And this is nut. Her starting point is not liberty but fascist control.

And no, I do not have a “Biological Sex”, she is not entitled to impose one on anyone, she can go fuck herself.

Despite dishonest attempts to sound “reasonable” Mary-Ann Stephenson is already lying about what the Supreme Court misjudgement means.

As @entirelyharmless.bsky.social has pointed out Mary-Anne Stephenson in her interview with Libby Brooks perpetuates a simple lie about the hideous Supreme Court decision: that it regulates single sex spaces. We can know it's a lie because Lord Hodge, who presided over that decision, has said so.

Oh, we do. Since her appointment Mary-Ann Stephenson has declined to recognise that trans women are women, has affirmed the hideous guidance drawn up by her predecessor, and has proven correct the two Select Committees who rejected her appointment because she was hopelessly out of her depth.

7/ So the point of this thought experiment is that, once all the smoke and mirrors are stripped away, it becomes clear that the court made a policy decision.

Nonsense. There is no need for innovation. On the contrary, excessive innovation from the Supreme Court is what causes harm. The tried and tested method of providing relief is through an emergency personal Act of Parliament, until the general law is fixed.

can i just say

this IDENTICAL argument is made by TERFs, that trans women counting as women end up perverting things like the census, or hiring quotas, in some way.

it's the same logic.

it's the fascist logic.

..which is also, in its way, a knowing lie.

Hilary Cass is such a creep she is so obsessed with this idea from the book “Irreversible Damage” which whistleblowers said she recommended to colleagues before her appointment.

I made FoI requests for notes regarding those claims. It is illegal to destroy public records but apparently she did.
The full recording of the Interview with Cass- she brings a slide deck. Part of it blames porn for why people might be trans 🙄

to give you an idea of how long the waiting lists are: my gp referred me to a gic in december of 2019. i got one letter, two sentences, informing me that id been referred. i have heard absolutely nothing since.

i currently inject diy estrogen that i buy online using cryptocurrency.
As well as discrimination in general healthcare, years long waiting lists for gender-affirming healthcare are ruining trans people’s lives.

We urgently need increased funding for gender-affirming healthcare, improved training for GPs, and to co-produce services with trans patients.

First, this in which it says that the Supreme Court decision mandated that single sex spaces be divided on the basis of "biology" not gender.

Reminder that the new head of the EHRC, Mary-Anne Stephenson, donated to Bailey's crowdfunder. In any just society, this should lead to humiliation, apology and resignation.
When those who hate trans people win - or pretend to win, cf Sandie Peggie - it's all over the media, even if it's just a tribunal decision. But when they lose, even in the Court of Appeal, it's absolute bloody tumbleweed. So here's our blog about Allison Bailey latest loss. goodlaw.social/3uyd

Full responsibility for this calamitous decision rests with Bridget Phillipson who was told by two committees of MPs that Mary-Ann Stephenson was out of her depth - and it was clear she was transphobic - but chose to appoint her anyway.
Just in case there was any doubt about Mary-Ann Stephenson being both biased (so unqualified to Chair the EHRC) and out of her depth here she hangs her hat on the hideous guidance drawn up by her predecessor - without waiting for the results of the High Court challenge which may find it unlawful.

How do we solve these mega waiting lists for the gender clinics???

Just dont do the gender clinics and just have GPs prescribe hormones and refer for surgeries

Gender clinics exist to soothe scared cis people not to help trans people transition

Until trans people can access our healthcare based on informed consent, from the same doctors in the same communities as everyone else, issues will remain unsolved.

Any attempt at centralisation without significant investment will cause serious harm to trans patients. We are also concerned that some GPs and other practioners may misuse the review as an excuse to unnecessarily withdraw longstanding care – especially bridging and shared care provision.

A number of the recommendations are sensible improvements to the current provision of services – but many of them would be rendered unnecessary by adopting an informed consent approach.
