Starmer has put himself with Farage in a very similar position on Venezuela.

The only difference being - gobsmackingly - that Nigel Farage at least acknowledges it's contrary to international law!
I think it is as absurd that Polanski is lumping Starmer together with Farage as it is that Starmer is lumping Polanski together with Farage. I also think it is probably doing neither of them any good.
"The only flags Farage and Starmer have been waving this weekend are white."

The last time McSweeney convinced Starmer to make a speech with emotion it resulted in the neo-Rivers of Blood "nation of strangers" speech.
At political cabinet today, Morgan McSweeney gave a presentation on “three Es” on how the government can connect with voters - emotion, empathy and evidence.

Am told he said the government currently has a “deficit in emotion”

I swear these utter fools use AI prompts in government.
He’s wrong, governments do lose because polls go down. But it’s also just bland, beige word soup that only someone of incredibly small imagination and talent could write and believe in.
More from Starmer’s political cabinet today, where he told ministers to ignore Labour’s dire poll ratings

“I do not underestimate the scale of the task. But I have no doubt about this team. Governments do not lose because polls go down. They lose when they lose belief or nerve. We will do neither.”

Visits to deepfake abuse sites have risen 3000% since 2019.

That’s thousands of ordinary women and girls being exploited online via non-consensual deepfakes.

Labour is tackling the issue at the source – making it illegal to supply the tools for creating explicit deepfakes.

Here's another of my Labour MP profiles and this one's a humdinger.
- Peter Swallow, MP for Bracknell. 🥀
- His partner is a lobbyist and has worked for 5 years at Mandelson's Global Counsel.
- He has been funded by arms firms including Elbit Systems.

Further proof that the Online Safety Act was never about protection, and always about control.

Well done on stopping LGBTQ+ kids from accessing online support groups I guess, Keir.
Keir Starmer's spokesman asked if Government will still use X now it posts indecent images of children, replies "we always keep communication channels under review to reach public in most appropriate way possible”

"Operators are under obligation to act appropriately. We always hope they would do"

On BBC News today: striking that it’s the two old establishment parties - Labour and the Conservatives - refusing to condemn the US breaking international law and doing what it wants.

Feels like politics stuck in the past, while the public has clearly moved on.

Surreal, Keir Starmer spews populist far right drivel criticising asylum seekers for getting accommodation, knowing full well that government denies asylum seekers the right to work, which if they did have, they would allow them to pay for their own accommodation while seeking asylum

This man is a threat to our national security going forward.

Deliberately staying entirely and utterly reliant on the USA for our security as they become increasingly a rogue state is an enormous risk we should be mitigating immediately.
Keir Starmer: "I constantly remind myself that 24/7 our defence, our security & our intelligent relationship with the US matters probably more than any other relationship we've got in the world and it would not be in our national interest to weaken that in any way"

I guarantee that Green Party leader Zack Polanski speaks for a hell of a lot more Brits than Starmer does when it comes to Donald Trump's shopping list of invasions and brutality.
Darren Jones saying repeatedly the Labour Government won't comment on a hypothetical.

It's not hypothetical - Trump is saying very loudly repeatedly what he's done and boasting about it.

And yet the UK Government won't even say it's a breach of international rules. Shameful.
