I read a review for this game (eurogamer?) that noted that using AI voice acting the way it does felt like it undercut the game’s story/theme of fighting robots after the AI apocalypse. I hesitate to talk about dissonant or discordant narrative experiences in games, but that’s a yikes.
I don’t want to be a Debbie downer but I DO love being the friend that’s too woke. ARC Raiders uses generative AI for its character voices, and this is stated on its steam page. I’m sure it’s a fun game, but please just give it a second thought for not hiring voice actors and using generative AI.

Just watched the new adaptation of Frankenstein. I really enjoyed it, though I’m a sucker for GDT’s vibe and aesthetic. I was super into pretty much all the performances? Jacob Elordi acted his face off without relying on his good looks. And Oscar Isaac was nearly nude? Literally only good things 🤣

Nearly time for a new Kamen Rider ZEZTZ! 🤩 I’ve been really enjoying this! Having legit and easy access each week is so rad. I hope whatever other tokusatsu hero show gets produced next season can do this type of thing too

Ugh. I’m having a really bad muscle day today. When I was a teen I was hit by a drunk driver while crossing the street, and a couple of times a year ever since my neck, back, and arm will all just lock up*, and ✨it’s happening today ✨

* you may have seen me complain about this before, sorry lol

I caught a few bits of S2 episodes as a kid when my dad watched it. It was so mysterious and weird and funny. The movie horrified me as a teen. It was so unyielding and unusual and intense.

Then finally got to piece it all together as an adult via Netflix/DVD releases 🤩
I was lucky enough to watch #TwinPeaks in the order it came out but for many, the first two seasons were hard to come by so #FireWalkWithMe was their introduction.

Not until the show hit Netflix and released on DVD did it take off again.

How did you first find "Twin Peaks"?

If you have Maga in your life, don’t let them do this. Children were hurt, stand on that. Make them defend that. They were children, and no amount of “15 isn’t 5” semantics changes that.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

another manifestation of this is when you criticize the right and somebody tsk tsks "they say the same thing about the left," like, yeah, somebody is lying, are you interested in who? because the answer is easily discoverable
Perfect example of political media operating under the post-truth standard that (1) distorts the facts until the parties look approximately equal, and (2) holds “do MAGA voters care?” as a higher standard than “is it true?” or “is it important for the public to know about this?”
Wild to watch playbook run cover for this particular Trump scandal

As someone that often laments the corporate purchase of that other family of VR devices, and because I’d love a standalone unit with robust local streaming options, Valve def has my cautious attention (even if in the modern economy I’ll need to scrimp and save to even hope for a preorder, lol)

Does anyone else take lines from songs and start saying them in day to day life? I’ve noticed this week that anytime I killed someone in Marvel Rivals I was shrieking “YOURE MY SECOND-FAVORITE FRONTMAN” 🤣

We're socialized to constantly apologize for being too outwardly excited about things, but this world is so full of terror and misery that I'd rather see those bursts of light and passion shine through the cracks wherever you can find them.

Now Trump has terminated the free IRS Direct File program, nearly a year after Intuit gave his inauguration $1M.

It’s always a good day for radical self reinvention
If you don’t like yourself and what you have isn’t working , there’s nothing stopping you from changing anything and everything to be what would make you happier.

People think of “don’t change yourself for others” as this concept that if you ever alter who you are for another you’re fake or w/e

Okay, Pokemon Legends Z-A, hiding the emotional conclusion to your ending behind a somewhat onerous post-game grind (15 rounds of infinite royale??) is a CHOICE. But I liked the story it told ultimately, and I’m excited for the dlc
