I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

BREAKING: The controversial hepatitis B vaccine trial in Guinea-Bissau has been *cancelled,* I can now report. A senior official with Africa CDC confirmed the cancellation and said GB officials are working to make sure any research is conducted ethically:

the threat of deportation creates an underclass that can't access the justice system or public services. these people are then exploited. that's the entire point. ICE and DHS (and their European counterparts, etc) are not "failing to address" this, they exists *to* create this underclass!

In his statement, President Star Comes Out refers to the Dakota 38+2 - the largest mass execution in U.S. history, a mass hanging of Dakota ‘convicted’ & sentenced to death in military sham trials. President Lincoln composed the list of 38 himself; 2 unconvicted men were also executed by mistake.

A few months ago, ICE hired me

I didn't sign and submit any paperwork. I almost certainly failed the drug test. I'm real outspoken about my opposition to the Trump administration, and I am extremely googlable

And yet, there it was, in plain English. "Welcome to ICE!"

You’ve Heard About Who ICE Is Recruiting. The Truth Is Far Worse. I’m the Proof.
What happens when you do minimal screening before hiring agents, arming them, and sending them into the streets? We're all finding out.

the thing that makes the American public more complacent than we’d like, much of the time, is that not many things cause major disruption to our day to day lives

what ICE is doing in Minneapolis is likely the single most disruptive thing most folks there have ever experienced

they hate it!
The people seem to be turning against ICE, and that's probably because the president is sending them into every major population center and screwing with people's lives. Politics is often invisible, but this is not!

Credible reports given multiple videos that ICE (or CBP?) in Minneapolis is going door to door, breaching doors when residents will not open, and searching homes with no warrant or even statement of a particularized suspicion, and trying to prevent residents from recording. Flagrantly illegal
A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming

Republicans forced the Bureau of Land Management to put over 20,000 acres of public land in Colorado up for auction at the discount price of $10/acre with reduced royalty rates for oil and gas drilling.

No one bid for it because demand for oil is crashing though. 🔌💡

nothing annoys me more than people who want to feel like they have special information going "do you know this CAN work..."

shut up, use water, use water, use water. got something else you want to urge people to use bc you saw a street medic use it once? shut up. use water.
Really want to emphasize this. Don't use shit like LAW or milk in your eyes. If you don't know what LAW is, great, don't bother. I've worked in chemistry labs and production floors most of my adult life, including with lachrymators and irritants. Use water. Just water. That's it.
Hey, you! :)

Here: activisthandbook.org/wellbeing/ri..., has a link to a 56-pg field guide. And also, a giant freaking 486-pg book for medics.

Short one is closer to what you want. Relevant bit for pepper spray ⬇️

I've always thought that the whole "natural immunity is the best way to protect people" thing was a bit like saying "getting pregnant is the best form of birth control."

Anyway, cool to see it's better for the immune system to see vaccine before virus from an effectiveness standpoint too.
A study on 1.7 million people in Hong Kong shows superior hybrid immunity to Covid in people who got vaccinated before infection vs. people who got infected first. "Our findings are a direct rebuttal to arguments for natural immunity," the authors write. doi.org/10.1016/j.va...

I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building.

Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained.

The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.
JUST NOW: Huge mass of agents in a standoff, weapons drawn as Reps. Ilhan Omar, Angie Craig, and Kelly Morrison attempt to conduct congressional oversight at the Whipple Building, which has been HQ for thousands of ICE agents.
