I want to thank everyone for their support during and after my presentation yesterday (iykyk), it really means a lot to me right now and I'll never forget it. Sorry I was mostly crying and couldn't talk to people very much
trying to look up info on the legitimate biological phenomenon of form change, getting lots of info on how to make Shaymin change into Flying Shaymin or whatever

my horrible undergraduate advisor who permanently traumatized me and basically spoiled my career before it even started is retiring, nice and old and proud and famous like a big fat turkey, having experienced no consequences at all for continually shit-talking me professionally for over a decade.

someday I gotta get a company to make these kinds of articulated toys with my worm things, but hopefully out of wood instead of plastic

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

I have heard that one of my old coworkers now calls me "one of the most diligent scientists [they've] ever met" but they are still apparently unable to speak to me. Thanks, that really means a lot right now. :/

There are apparently a lot of online tropical pet breeding companies operating in the Rust Belt. Are you guys ok

with the apparent total absence of other sources of freshwater in the immediate area, there are so many squirrels using the drinking space in my frog pond that there is a permanent but continually cycling population of fleas just hanging out on the stepping stone

I wish I was less superlatively unlucky with jobs. I am really very boring and mostly concerned with tiny shrimp.

a big spider just voluntarily ran under the door to get inside the house and then stopped in the middle of the floor. don't look at me dude

I have applied to a lot of things that let me touch bugs and/or water. I could breed feeder insects, do pond maintenance, write about ducks, remove invasive plants, count worms, lots of things really

why are there so many jobs at Ducks Unlimited, how are they getting so much money for duck purposes

I mean, I GUESS living near the Great Lakes would be okay. There are shrimps in there.

I think I'd prefer to live somewhere blue, so I don't have to get nervous about how long my hair is or how well I pass as cis, but I really did not like living in the NE and I don't think I want to bother trying to afford California as a single person right now. My options are truly fascinating.

apparently all the funny wingless flies I've been seeing in pumpkintown are females, because there are males now and they're just regular flies with wings and stuff. that's so weird, congratulations flies on your weird glowworm ultra-dimorphic lifestyle
