This would presumably be the same Enrique Tarrio who has recently been promoting a Mein Kampf reading group led by the white nationalist niece of Ann Coulter. Don’t call them Nazis though, that would be rude.

Trump is threatening wars with NATO and Venezuela for the same reason he’s at war with the American people: fascism must always be on the march.

Authoritarians are good at offense, but bad at defense. The only strategy for combating the Epstein crisis is literally going to war.

I'm gonna say this with all the kindness in my heart: you aren't going to survive if you don't let your life have room for other things.

This is not a short term fight where we can just go 24/7 and then it will be over. We've got YEARS ahead of us. Take a break. Hydrate. Go bake something. Breathe.

BREAKING: Hundreds of sensitive U.S. records obtained by WIRED undercut the Trump administration’s claims portraying Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua as a unified terrorist force invading the country. Intelligence agencies spent much of 2025 unsure TdA even functioned as an organization on U.S. soil.

Hundreds of records obtained by WIRED show thin intelligence on the Venezuelan gang in the United States, describing fragmented, low-level crime rather than a coordinated terrorist threat.

Wrote last month about the media’s use of “crackdown” to legitimize and validate the regime’s occupation of opposition strongholds. It’s driving me insane.

This is distinct from saying “not one more dime for ICE.” Even the good ones keep the door open. This isn’t some radical point either, this is lobbying training 101. They are very good at making limited commitments sounds bold.

No! The criticism of the Dems isn't that they never win elections, it's that they don't use power to solve the problems that got us here. Elite impunity, concentration of wealth, the unitary executive. Winning is only step 1
New - Chuck Schumer to haters: “The answer to these critics is to win. If we win back the Senate, that will answer every question"

Peltola “was the last piece to the puzzle"

He says Dem path to Senate is Ohio, Alaska, Maine and NC. Dems are watching Texas/Iowa

As various groups roll out their analyses of 2025 temperature records today (spoiler alert: it’s hot) , NOAA and NASA are not holding the joint press conference they usually do to announce their recap. Data will be released but without the open chance to talk to agency experts that usually exists.

This is also about eliminating the concept of the “personal computer” and pushing everything into the cloud where all actions, every byte of data, can be surveilled and monetized.
once again where we're at right now with the runaway price increases on SSDs isn't even because of usage demand, it's hoarding behavior from companies who may not have even broken ground on the data centers they want to install it in.

Unbelievable that SDCC is going to allow AI-generated artwork in its art show.

“The art show fills up fast” it says, but taking away space from actual artists to feature slop is ok?

I hope they change their policy on this, but as it stands, it’s a slap in the face to real human artists.
Comic-con deciding to allow GenAi imagery in the art show —giving valuable space to GenAi users to show slop right NEXT to actual artists who worked their asses off to be there— is a disgrace!

A tone deaf decision that rewards and normalizes exploitative GenAi against artists in their own spaces!

The last good thing Scott Adams can do for the world is to serve as a cautionary tale to everyone who’s sense of self rests on being one of the smart ones.

I don’t mean that unkindly. It’s genuinely tragic in a way I can appreciate more knowing he has no more bombs to drop.

ICE as an institution is exactly 23 years old. The republic thrived for 2 centuries without it. Most adults are old enough to remember a time when it did not exist. It was crammed through at a time when the country was reeling in shock. We should have known better. 9/11 was not an immigration issue.

the thing that makes the American public more complacent than we’d like, much of the time, is that not many things cause major disruption to our day to day lives

what ICE is doing in Minneapolis is likely the single most disruptive thing most folks there have ever experienced

they hate it!
The people seem to be turning against ICE, and that's probably because the president is sending them into every major population center and screwing with people's lives. Politics is often invisible, but this is not!
