Just for you, here’s Donatello ON the same Commodore monitor in the card art.

The only redeeming quality is the handsome author.

This book was actually inspired by the time I started the palisades fires, to be honest.

Yeah, what a jerk.

This what keeps me from replays. All the systems changes are just such a grind (derogatory), and I feel like I’m slogging through mud to the fun, rather than the grind BEING the fun.

Trump’s inner circle should present him with the Nobal Peace Prize. He’ll never know the difference, then maybe he’ll shut up.

trying out something with my setup :3

two 17” CRT monitors, with a fucked up magnetised monitor as a portrait display because I can’t get rid of the magnetisation in some parts of the screen.
i did spend about an hour waving some magnets around in front of the screen and managed to make it usable.
wooden desk with two 17” CRT monitors on it. the one on the left is upright on its stand, with a monitor shelf on top covered in trinkets. it’s displaying an oscilloscope rendering of some chiptune music (https://youtube.com/watch?v=uzBRdWawvvQ).

the monitor on the right is turned on its side and is displaying discord in portrait orientation. in front of the sideways monitor is a 90s mechanical keyboard and a 2010s apple keyboard the second monitor showing (what is supposed to be) a full red screen. around some parts of the edges of the screen are small blue-and-green-tinted patches.
in normal use the discolouration isn’t very noticeable.

There’s something about little guys on little dioramas that just gets my feelings going something fierce.

Aidan: “Man, I like Universes Beyond, but this is starting to feel like way too much.”

WotC: “What if we did a set featuring your favourite CRT of all time?”

Aidan: “Where do I sign my soul over?”

Donatello is very clearly using a Commodore 1702 monitor (with a C64) in the art for this card, so I clearly have no choice but to build the deck.
A Magic card called “Donatello, the Brains” depicting the Ninja Turtle sitting in a cramped spaces using multiple computers at once.

Seeing all this FFT love, nostalgia, and discovery warms my heart... but also utterly makes me pine for FFTA. Especially when talking about reflections on childhood through the prism of FF, something which TA does better than pretty much any other entry.

It wouldn’t be a FF game without people sitting and reminiscing about their childhood
