Heartbreaking. The University of Nebraska will terminate its entire Earth science department.

One of the country's most successful and respected geology & climate programs: gone.

When ideologues & politicians are threatened by the very act of studying climate change, I wonder: who of us is next?
It's over.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln eliminates the Earth and atmospheric sciences 8-0, educational administration 7-1, statistics 7-1, textiles, merchandising and fashion design 7-1 programs.

"During the meetings, committee members and presenters made at least 60 false, misleading or unsupported claims about vaccine safety, disease spread and rationale for childhood vaccination, according to the Evidence Collective, a coalition of science and medicine researchers."
Under RFK Jr., the CDC provides a megaphone to the anti-vaccine movement
Common anti-vaccine talking points were on display as the CDC’s immunization advisers repealed a hepatitis B birth vaccine recommendation and scrutinized the childhood schedule.

NYC info:

To get Novavax, you should know the 2025 version is "Nuvaxovid." It was tricky to find.

But official Nuvaxovid site seems to work now.

CVS site showed Nuvaxovid as a choice only after I filled in the form with my personal info.

I believe all local CVS, Walgreens, Duane Reades have it.

So I have an idea for the AHS Headache & Migraine Competitive Grant Program. Any headache specialists want to talk? I'm not a member and can't afford to become one, even if I were eligible to apply.

they hate music, they hate art, they hate artists, they hate pop, they hate the video games they play, they hate the movies they watch, like, they're just all the worst fucking people you've ever met, none of them believe in anything

I’d like to call out the work of two CDC career scientists— Drs. John Su and Adam Langer — for their evidence-based presentations and reasoned responses about hepatitis B at recent #ACIP meetings. Their professionalism and dedication to facts is so needed today.

Friends, Yesterday and today, I watched many hours of the CDC’s meeting of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).

It was painful.

But we learned a lot.

That bad news is that our kids are going to pay the price for RFK jr’s views.

Well, they did it. ACIP voted to overturn a decades old recommendation on hepatitis B vaccination. Now only infants born to women who test positive for the virus or whose status is unknown will receive the vaccine at birth. This is a horrible day for public health. www.npr.org/sections/sho...

We knew we'd see stuff like this when RFK Jr. got appointed, but seeing it unfold IRL is still something... 🛟😷

Brandolini's law example: "72 jabs" claim is old antivax BS--counts combined vaccines (like MMR) as if 1 shot for each. Ironically, HHS called for MMR into M, M, & R, thus 2 shots-->6.

Let's be very clear that one of the major effects of the CDC no longer recommending various vaccinations is that it becomes much harder for folks who still want to be—or want their children to be—vaccinated to get their insurance providers to cover those vaccinations.

WELL NOW, would you look at that? A massive, 24-YEAR-LONG study of MORE THAN 1.2 MILLION people in Denmark found NO LINK between aluminum in childhood vaccines and autism, asthma, OR chronic disorders.

Aluminum is an ADJUVANT.

It ENHANCES your immune response to a vaccine.

That’s it.
