Nothing is more annoying than walking up intent on self-care. The internal debate about whether to drink just heat water with some ginger & honey or to make overly sweet hot chocolate is so hard. Both are about the self and a form of care, but only one is going to help me avoid cavities.

The phrase "childhood food insecurity" is such a bullshit clinicism. Real ones can tell you about how they strategized around what gave them the most access to free food. Or chose to skip an activity because "it'll leave me too hungry after." Or creatively lied to avoid the pitying looks of others.
