Saturday morning our team was able to buy out 2 vendors so they could go home. We then passed out tamales to our neighbors in La Villita and Pilsen. Shout out to the volunteers that sit with these vendors in the mornings to make sure they are safe and protected! We keep us safe. ✊🏽

Bergen gets a F for public restrooms. Asked a McDonalds employee and he said I had to buy something. That’s capitalism. Went to Starbucks and someone held the door open for me and I held it open for others. That’s class solidarity. ✊🏽

Yes!! We’ve done that for some vendors. We’ve found a wonderful partner in the Street Vendors Association of Chicago and have been attacking the problem from all angles.
