To answer the first question: Depends on what you mean. Yes, the methods to detect pancreatic cancer are effective. No, because pancreatic cancer develops fast, metastasizes to affect other organs easily, and many of the early signs are easily explained away by other things which delays detection.

The way I would be making up scary surcharges. "Mm, so we process only rush orders on Sundays, and that unfortunately comes with a 400% increase in cost. Yes, it's expensive but unfortunately part of it is in the difficulties with sourcing and part is to cover partner agreement terms. So sorry."🤣

(4/4) Some futurists will gamely argue this to be solved by better machines, except those machines need to be built using math to explain the process. Ask your local math graduate what the math to model knots or interwoven fabric looks like. We're at the baby steps and it's used in quantum problems.

(4/5) by progressive layering. This isn't really an option for clothes as they wrap around themselves and are woven through each other in ways that can't be decomposed from the final garment back to a series of successive layers. 3D printing could and does produce textiles, but can't make that leap.
