For those who don't know me: I exist in a liminal space of wanting to engage and talk to people about interesting things but abhor being observed. It makes my skin crawl. As a result, I guard how people interact with and about me fairly tightly.

If you're not sure and you want to be careful, ask.
I saw someone showing examples of code they did as a kid, and I am now suffering a visceral flashback of being a child and creating subroutines in basic to route changes to blackjack card variables because I didn't know what an array was. 🤣

Look, 2Pac wasn't into no soft types... Everybody knows Will is the soft one in that relationship, and there's no shame in that. Jada knows how to clear up a situationship. 🤣

I told an acquaintance, who is Christian in that way where they wear a gold cross and say "I Believe" with a certain inflection, that I donwonder how well they grasped the Parable of the Goats and the Sheep. They have certain feelings about immigrants, you see, and a certain goat-like mentality.

There are two product designs that secretly speak about people's cultural tolerance and their philosophy on multiculturalism. The first is X-in-1 products. The second is specialized Made for Y products. You can tell a lot about folks by what they buy and use.

I actually had a new student say something really offensive to me today and he quickly learned why, as a rule, I work with adults or near-adults: Because when you act grown I'm going to speak to you like you're grown, and it isn't my fault if you walk away with some hurt feelings. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Everyday I wake up and see some people are still breathing and it's reminder that I should cut myself some slack because if even the grim reaper can procrastinate, I'm doing fine.

Was I petty enough to throw an anniversary party for Jessie? No. Did I send her new husband an RSVP for one? Yes. You know how some people send Christmas cards every year to all the people they love? I'm the other side of that. 🤣
(1/3) I may have just done the pettiest, most tacky, thing in my life but if you fuck with my friends, I'm entirely that bitch. Let me set the scene.

So I have a friend, let's call them Sammy. Sammy had a high school friend named Jessie. Jessie and Sammy were super close, like "your mom is my mom"

High fructose corn syrup, textbooks, and spite here.
Sis. I am held together with nicotine gum, tape and French fries.

Imagine using "the fog of war" to incorrectly describe command ambiguity while talking to the Call of Duty generation. Truly, a lack of situational awareness seems to be a reoccurring personality trait.

A basic lesson that bad managers never get?

We all have to make tough choices sometimes, but the people working under you will forever remember if your way of coping with that burden is to make crude jokes at the expense of the people your tough choices impact. They'll know you'd do it to them too.

I had someone tell me "It's a shame that we can't see eye to eye. I think if we could, we'd've been good friends."

We can't see eye to eye because we have completely different moral centers. The person you want to be friends with would just be my most entertaining parts with none of my heart.

Chocolate pasta fascinates me as an idea. I feel like there's a chocolate take on lasagna that would kill.

"Fairness in school sports"

So you're controlling access to professional trainers? No? Or accounting for developmental stage differences within the same age groups? No? Creating budgets to keep every kid fairly equipped? No? So what is it that defines a fair sporting experience exactly, I wonder?

They say you can't judge a book by its cover, but if there's a hot woman on the cover of your fantasy novel and the synopsis is about a man and either doesn't mention her or brings her up as an object of lust/frustration, I know I'm not your target audience and I don't want to read your work.

I really do feel like writing a hear me out, and it's just me eating chocolate cereal in cold coffee milk with sugar because it feels like a deconstructed mocha.

Men will just say anything that a google search could correct for them. Today's edition: "Jonathan Owens WAS a catch for Simone Biles, he makes more money than her."

...Reader, Simone Biles has almost 10x Owens' net worth. She has done VERY well for herself thanks to her touring and endorsements.

Best read I've heard a drag queen deliver in years: "It's okay to experiment with makeup, and I want to support you, but your eyebrows look like cousins and your eyes look like they went no-contact."🤣

If you ever feel a pang of betrayal after I block you, you're welcome. That's a parasocial relationship and I've severed it for you. Guard against it in the future, because you don't know those people any more than you knew me.

Fun fact: depending on if you measure by weight or value, 50-67% of all goods in the US are transported more than 50 miles before sale. Guess how we do that? We're also already nearing 100k short of the truckers we needed for our current demands. What I'm saying is that this is... unwise.

We live in an era where people who have never gone 100% on any creative project hear that AI can get them 90% of the way and think the future is nigh, not understanding that creatives spend their careers honing the skills required to navigate the last 10%.

There's just so much to unpack, and every new line makes me somehow fear the next one more.

It's weird that we haven't seen a superhero/Sentai souls like. We've seen a few anime settings try it, but a street-level superhero game in the vein of the recent Spider-man games would work so well interpreted through a more souls-like formula akin to Elden Ring.

A lot of folks are rightfully laughing about the weird names and how everything appears to be a bathroom or half bath... I am amused because this house? Has no entrance. 🤣

Ebooks are the modern printer drivers of the software world - The formats are woefully underdeveloped because Big Business sets standards and is too lazy to support any significant feature advancements.
