I don’t want to hear anything from an elected official unless it’s a plan to defund the DHS and impeach Noem, Bovino, etc. No texts. No emails. No talk about the economy. Step up or step off.

"Slavery was real"

Tiny sign at the base of a brick wall that, until yesterday, held panels about the people enslaved by George Washington.

Murderers, kidnappers, fascists, liars, and racists. They think they can hide our founding stories and paint over them like a cheap house flip.
President Donald Trump and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum ordered content at national parks that “inappropriately disparage” the U.S. to be reviewed and potentially removed.

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

My point is… i just think it’s so unhelpful to point to everything going on and turn it into “courts lol” or “like there’s gonna be midterms lol.”

Doomerism leads to complying in advance because if nothing matters why even bother.

People are so terrified of these sad and pathetic little rich men trapped in misery of their own making. If you or your company feel that you have to bow to a person like this, you’ve gone down the wrong path.
Corporate America, including major investors in & distributors of Musk's xAI, go silent when pressed by @theatlantic.com about whether they will continue to do business with a company that enables the sexual harassment & exploitation of women & children.

Corporate social responsibility is a myth.

So, hear me out on this, I want my taxpayer dollars going to feeding, hungry people, educating kids, and building better roads. I have no desire to buy Donald Trump an island, & last time I checked, the power of the purse, still belonged to Congress.
"Secretary of State Marco Rubio told lawmakers that recent administration threats against Greenland didn’t signal an imminent invasion and that the goal is to buy the island from Denmark, according to people familiar with the discussions."

Starting tomorrow, the Trump administration is set to send notices to 1,000 student loan borrowers (first round) noticing them of an intent to garnish their wages for student loan debt.

This is cruel and unnecessary.

If you receive a notice, send it to us and we'll try to help.

“Self-deport” is a whitewashed way to describe “fleeing the country under the threat of state violence.” I agree with Maria here — it’s important to call that exactly what it is.
What. No.

Don't use their language, @newyorker.com that is not even a real word. What the hell is wrong with "flee" or like. "Flee this godforsaken country"

The plan, which is not finalized, suggests children get fewer shots and shifts to a model telling parents to consult doctors to make their own vaccine choices.

This is an absolutely chilling snapshot of the horror show that comes with NOT resisting this fascist takeover. I’m not blaming residents for their fear—it’s clearly justified—but this is not a “better” outcome.
