Bloomberg says we've spent $3B on Trump's invasion of Venezuela.

Which is 6X more than the cancer, Alzheimer, diabetes, and heart disease cures they've cut to pay for it.

If Dems don't fight for their right to constant access to these concentration camps what are they even doing?

These places are torturing people, and anyone not willing to expose and condemn that is too feckless to deserve our support.
Corrections Officers and ICE goons have started patrolling the Dilley, Texas ICE Concentration Camp, confiscating children’s drawings, letters, and arts and crafts materials to prevent further leaks of the abhorrent conditions in the camp (February 17, 2026).

Note that this is a newish amendment to the Save America Act. The earlier version was plenty bad. But this is even worse. Curiously, I had a really hard time finding this latest version online. I knew to look only bc the Brennan Center alluded to an amendment along these lines.
Page 15 of the GOP’s Save America Act wld force all 50 states to submit their voter rolls to the DHS’s centralized voter purge program (called “SAVE”), which they know has had error rates as high as 14% & links to an SSA database that they know was compromised by DOGE. #NoOnSave 1/

They want to scare people out of posting ICE-critical content, because they know these posts are turning even their supporters against them. But the better option is to take a page out of their playbook and flood the zone.
Posting about ICE on Instagram is now enough to get you an “administrative subpoena.” 👀

I do think there’s a certain type of Democrat that realizes it’s possible we are dealing with a perfect storm where almost any Democrat will win, and are terrified we might nominate radical candidates who will actually engage in needed change instead of status quo corporate centrist bullshit.
One of the interesting things this time around is just how hollow the whole thing sounds. In the past, people have been able to use the empty concept of electability to anoint and position the person they demanded, but now that Republicans are getting obliterated everywhere, that doesn't work.
If I were a Democrat concerned about winning elections and was hearing that a significant number of voters wouldn’t support Gavin Newsom in 2028, I would simply stop pushing Gavin Newsom in 2026.

People who hate multiculturalism are total freaks. It's like hating sex or chocolate or sunsets. You have to have some sort of brain damage to decide that one of life's most exquisite pleasures is bad and humanity should be deprived of it.

It's also worth remembering that this narrative is Nazi in a way that actually pre-dates the Holocaust.

Hitler rose to power telling a story of a Germany shackled by guilt and shame (and of course the material concessions fallout) from WWI
This message from the US State Department about "not wanting allies to be shackled by guilt and shame" is a pretty direct call-out to the German far-right argument that Germany has spent too long feeling guilty about the Holocaust, and needs to move on and stop doing remembrance.
