heads up for anyone who has already blocked Neil Gaiman.

if you previously followed Neil before finding out he had assaulted multiple women, Bluesky might still have you set as following him.

you can either fix that manually since he has reactivated or with this tool:
cleanfollow-bsky.pages.dev
cleanfollow-bsky
Unfollow blocked, deleted, suspended, and deactivated Bluesky accounts

Worth noting that blocking someone you follow doesn't remove you from their follow list, so it's possible a chunk of those people don't realise they show up as still following him.

Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

16 hours later... they haven't fixed it. I got over the hurdle of the AI chatbot and spoke to a real person, logged the problem, they said they'd get on it... nothing so far.

I should note that this same episode, with the dub, is also running on Hulu. No technical issues there.

i checked, and yyyyyyep

haha

in a perfect world, crunchyroll would have a content review team that would catch issues like this. but they dont. its up to end users to report issues like this to CR. i just did that, now let's see how long it takes for them to fix it :3
It has now been over a month since @crunchyroll.com dropped episode 10's dub of Gintama: Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class with broken audio (the Japanese audio is playing over the top of the English audio). Still not fixed btw

My @crunchyroll.com subscription price is going up? Surely having more money as a multinational corporation would enable you to actually deliver a better quality product then.

Are you hiring back translators? Content operations? Merchandise? Why should anyone enable you?

So, fun fact. New York requires clear communication of price increases through the same channel used for billing, as well as affirmative consent of the price increase.

It's wild watching a social contract of about five decades being undone.

Anime fans have historically been able to trust anime publishers because, until recently, the folks making the calls were also fans who were happy to treat customers as respectable entities instead of walking wallets.

O cool The hypothesis that the elite were trying to segrigate trans people from society purely to keep us as sex slaves was real, but only for trans women since they see trans men as undesirable for sex and want them eliminated which is EXACTLY THE POLICIES AND RHETORIC WE'RE SEEING HAPPEN RIGHT NOW

"A secret network of rich child traffickers wanted to avoid accountability for their sex crimes, so they stoked baseless hatred against innocent minorities" simultaneously sounds like an outlandish conspiracy theory and the most obvious possible thing in the world.

Like holy shit "Jeffrey Epstein is the reason /pol/ exists" is a maximally insane statement, but at the same time it also makes the last fifteen years make so much more sense.
he also appears to have met moot the same day /pol/ was (re)launched (not my image)

Still can't believe the latest Epstein Files release just casually confirmed the anti-SJW movement was planned by pedophiles.

"The entire reactionary anti-woke backlash was masterminded by child traffickers" is the kinda shit I'd say as hyperbolic agitprop, but it was true the whole time.

Hollywood is always trying to convince itself (and investors) that controllable, knowable factors are a huge part of the success "formula", when everybody KNOWS it's passion, taste, trust and luck that make a hit. By the time you can see the zeitgeist it's too fucking late.
Netflix fell backwards into KPop Demon Hunters' success
The streamer's approach to KPop Demon Hunters means that its next big thing will likely once again come about thanks to external factors.

The way this Apple II rooftop cityscape draws itself in and then sweeps across the screen is very pleasing to the eye.

The traffic and skyscraper lights twinkling away very much build some lovely atmosphere and look lovely in their own right.

Never forget that the reason they are so convinced you’re all getting paid is that they are all getting paid.
The fact that every right winger with influence screams "who is paying for all of this" tells you exactly how awash in cash they all are, and how much they rely on that to keep their movement afloat.
James O'Keefe says he's never seen anything so organized as the anti-ICE movement, observers--he seems to think this term is code--everywhere he goes. Who is paying for it??? he demands to know. It's like he can't even imagine people caring for one another.
