One would hope that media outlets eventually understood that many of their readership woes stem from having no standards for conservatives.

But the reality is that management prioritizes right-wing propaganda over profits, so they're not going to change.
👀 Apparently, Ross Douthat invited Seth Harp to debate him on Douthat's "Interesting Times" NYT podcast. Harp says that the episode was recorded, Douthat got crushed, and RD/NYT decided not to publish it.

This isn’t some anonymous tip. This is sworn testimony, under penalty of perjury, from someone who said Trump threatened to kill her if she exposed Epstein’s sexual abuse.

TRUMP: You are so bad. You are the worst report. No wonder CNN has no ratings. She's a young woman. I don't think I've ever seen you smile. They should be ashamed of you.

Impeachment is the only Constitutional check Congress has against a lawless president and talking about it would be a good start to reasserting Congressional power in the future. Assuming of course Congress wants to do that
Speaking out like this is all they can do now. Impeachment is a total and complete joke, and threatening to use it is akin to threatening to hit someone with a wet noodle. Impeachment is no longer a viable tool to use against Republican politicians.

They should be impeaching him every single day. New crime, new impeachment. They should keep impeaching him once he’s out of office. They should keep impeaching him after he’s dead.

The last time he started talking like this, his allies minimized the risks and we ended up with January 6. This time we must take him literally and seriously. These comments are a five-alarm fire for democracy. In a functioning republic, he would be impeached and removed from office today.

Can’t believe the government headed by a man who sexually abuses children, who had all of their technology led by a man who sells CSAM for profit, whose first act was to nominate a child sexual predator for AG, is now publishing CSAM.
The government published CSAM???
NEW: The Justice Department published dozens of unredacted images of nude women (and possibly teens) as part of its Epstein release.

The faces of those people were also left unredacted.

The fact that both are quite experienced—8 years and 12 years with CBP—is yet more evidence that CBP should be abolished and all of its agents fired. There's no way to "reform" or "retrain" that, it's just a violent gang with badges.

I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.

the reason the details are important here is because this is behavior we don’t even tolerate from local police, the violations are illegal and egregious, and they’re being committed daily
drawing their guns, aiming them at someone who hasn’t even committed a traffic offense, forcibly removing her from her vehicle at gunpoint and throwing her into their vehicle for transport were crimes committed before local police even made a phone call, and should be reported as such imo
