Last year I found a TikTok account invading people's homes to spread hate against immigrants. With a little bit of OSINT & a lot of legwork @londoncentric.media and I went looking for its owner. www.londoncentric.media/p/tiktok-lon...
Who's secretly filming fake TikToks inside Londoners' homes?
We tracked down the viral video account invading people's houses to spread false claims about immigrants.

The TACO cycle:

Markets want to price in TACO. But TACO only works if Trump sees stocks tank.

So we get a loop: Trump does things → nothing happens (markets already priced in TACO) → that emboldens him to do more → until markets start to think he might not TACO → stocks fall → TACO is restored.

What's incredible to me is how every single member of Trump II is perfectly "antipathique," but each one in a unique style all their own.

It's like a pantheon of all the taxonomies of antipathique.

Given everything that is happening with Greenland, I asked @stokel.bsky.social to investigate whether Europeans should - or even could - wean themselves off US tech www.newscientist.com/article/2512...

As tensions over Greenland rise, some Europeans are asking whether it is time to disentangle themselves from US tech dominance - but from smartphones to cloud services, rejecting US tech is easier sai...

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

There is a crisis of impunity. The Musk/Grok stuff is just one f many examples of people who are counting on there never being any consequences. And it all makes me just incandescently mad.
