i am not an editor anymore and am back to freelancing which means i am pitching a lot. is it annoying and terrible? yes absolutely. and so i have sympathy for this. and probably have written posts like this myself as a joke. but if you're serious, in any way, shoot your shot and send the email pitch

we all have our pet peeves and unfortunately one of mine is writers who post stuff like "if anybody wants me to write about XYZ topic, i'm right here." back when i was an editor, i did sometimes find writers via social media, but it can be very hard to search. much easier when ppl simply emailed me
