#Section230 is why our internet is open to LGBTQ+ youths who are surviving abusive homes. Shame on those who call its repeal "accountability" when it's actually about silencing marginalized voices. Without it, platforms would drown in frivolous lawsuits designed to erase queer existence.

By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. It's wild how "our intellectual elite are a bit morally smug" warrants the same article being pushed out saying as much for a decade, but a global paedophile ring in which many of our richest and most powerful and leading minds all took part is, you know, uncouth to talk about.
