Some folk see it as a criticism, but I really do see it as an honest acknowledgement that barely *anyone* has played any edition of D&D purely rules as written since the late 1980s.

I'm not playing fan girl for WotC here; just that checking in with your DM up front is sound advice no matter what.
5e falls down here, putting the burden on the DM. "You should check with your DM about any house rules that will affect your play of the game." Why are we bringing up house rules so early?

If you use kagi.com for your search, there's a setting to block AI images. Immensely useful.
And you can block internet domains - so for example I've blocked Amazon. No Amazon results at all in my searches. No ads. No bullshit SEO.
Just pure, clean search results.
It really is a revelation.

There has been a relentless, cacophonous campaign to stigmatise pro-Palestinian activists. But the inconvenient truth is that these are just ordinary people of good conscience who see the horrors of Gaza and simply cannot bear to stand by and do nothing.

This has been a really fun thread but basically every lawyer uses Office365, it's a huge portion of Microsoft's income, and so any linux future meaningfully has to offer alternatives to these specific rentier empires and not just gaming. Gaming is a good start, but LibreOffice does not cut it.
My lawyer has yelled at me every time I’ve opened a contract with gdocs and fucked up their sections and subsections. It’s cheaper to pay $100/yr than $600/hr for them to fix stuff.
