People are so weird about rock stars:

Ozzy Osbourne murders 16 cats in a drug-fuelled frenzy of violence: Legend!

Bono gets African debt cancelled: Pompous prick.

Fascinating how The Beatles endure, in an age when even Elvis is starting to fade. I suppose it's because The Beatles were the start of music as we still understand it today, while Elvis belongs to an era that's gone.

Anyone wanting to find Ed Davey's response to the budget on the BBC website, you need to look under ENGLAND -> POLITICS -> PARLIAMENT -> BUDGET -> BEWARE OF THE LEOPARD -> and it's the third item on the page after two pieces about Reform.

If you've got a history book at home, take it out, throw it in the bin, it's worthless. The history books, now, will have to be rewritten. They'll quite simply say "The OBR released a budget analysis 25 minutes early". Everything else will be a footnote.
Mate you need to chill the fuck out lmao

Imagine TV News covering this farmer protest - banned, but turned up anyway, grinding capital to a halt - if it were about Palestine or climate change, not inheritance tax. Would they present protesters as heroes? Or showing "I need to get to work" and "me auld mam missed her hip operation" voxpops?

Ah, great. Now my all-time favourite song - Simple Minds' Someone Somewhere in Summertime - is being used to advertise ChatGPT 😐

Had to double-check this fact from The Rest Is Entertainment - but yes, according to market research, people's favourite Christmas ad this year is... the Coke AI one 😐

Sure the family of the very much still alive Nina Sosanya will love this (entirely deliberate) clickbait picture cropping. Misdirection is now the internet's main job.
