If those in charge can’t handle the stress of a grade 12 student asking a rational and reasonable question - then they might want to take a serious look at their own fragility.

And then ask themselves if they are fit to run a government.

Absolutely mortifying and embarrassing for our province.

I am begging Canadians to understand that Canada Post, like public transit, should not be a business - it's a service.

Canada Post is a lifeline for rural, remote and Northern communities and overall, we need to re-evaluate why people think they "need" random shit delivered ASAP.
The government is reducing service standards and Canada Post’s biggest advantage: its nationwide network.

This plan is about cutting back the postal service instead of investing to give it new revenue tools through things like postal banking. It’s shameful.

Canada post is an essential service.

Why are essential government services required to turn a profit?

Why aren’t people in northern and/or rural communities deserving of mail service?

This is wild.

Teachers: we really need supports for complex needs in classrooms, lower class sizes, better working conditions, and appropriate funding

UCP: best we can do is a book ban
August 28, 2025 at 10:07 PM
This is horrifying. Absolutely contact your trustees, and get ready to make this THE issue in October's election- we need a school board that's willing to push back against the UCP government
Well, the list of books being banned from EPSB is appalling. And it's very likely that an author on this list will get their other works pulled too, especially in the absence of teacher librarians.

There are books on this list that changed my life. This is what the UCP is taking away from kids.

Seriously Air Canada, pay your employees a fair wage for ALL hours worked. Solidarity with flight attendants!
Air Canada offered the pilots a 26% wage increase in the 1st year of their newest contract.
The flight attendants got an offer of an 8% increase in the 1st year.
In the entire 4-year deal Air Canada offered them, their wages won't go up by as much as the pilots' did in just 1 year.
Air Canada is reinforcing the gender wage gap – and they want the government to help them do it
Air Canada wants to reinforce the gender wage gap by forcing Air Canada flight attendants – 70% of whom identify as women – to accept a wage offer less than one third of what Air Canada offered its pi...

I'll never forget that Canada Post letter carries deferred their contract negotiation during the COVID-19 pandemic because the workers felt they had a responsibility to continue to LITERALLY CARRY CANADA'S ECONOMY ON THEIR BACKS

The way they are being treated as thanks for their service is SHAMEFUL
And Canada Post too!
Neither management team has negotiated in good faith. They both want the government to impose a settlement at the expense of the workers. That would also serve Poilievre’s desperate need to tarnish the government, another positive for the companies’ managements.

As long as Canada supports zionism, Canada will harm Indigenous people living here.

Zionism and Reconciliation DO NOT exist together. It is impossible.

If you're a Canadian and you value Indigenous people and want to build better relationships with them, you must denounce Canadian zionism.
As an Indigenous person the government of Canada’s support of Zionism and the state of Israel makes me feel unsafe. Israel is currently exterminating Indigenous people and starting regional conflicts based on ethno-supremacy. The state of Israel needs to be denounced by all good Canadians.

Canada Post wants to create a new class of flexible, part-time worker that will better compete with Amazon and implement “dynamic routing” so delivery routes can be changed on the fly.

It’s a good example of how Amazon degrades workers’ rights even beyond its walls. Workers are right to push back.

Yes. I’d go further and say we need to bring back crown corporation on a massive scale. Publicly owned us better for both the worker and everyone who uses the service. Privatization means poorer working conditions and shittier, more expensive service.
Canada Post should be funded by the federal government.

It’s a national public service.
