Dabrusin is misleading the Canadian public. On the CBC radio show, What on Earth, a few weeks ago, when asked how the govt would meet the 2035 GHG emission reduction target (we are far off), she referred to the Clean Electricity Regulation. 1/

If Carney believes this, he is a fool.

This NYT article contains many inaccuracies, starting with confusing "laws" with "policies" or "regulations." The MoU doesn't remove the cap on emissions because there never was a cap on emissions. Albertans' views of the Liberals have not been "reset." Etc.

Even the CCI is finding it hard to cheerlead for the Carney government's energy and climate policy now. Unlike the CCI, I see the MoU with Alberta as consistent with what was mapped out in the budget.

Federal-Alberta MOU risks unravelling Canada’s climate policy
While promised improvements to industrial carbon pricing are positive and important, other aspects of Alberta-Canada MOU will undermine policy effectiveness across the country.

The Trump administration's pressure campaign against Nicolás Maduro is creating tense divisions among the many Venezuelans who fled to South Florida over the past two and a half decades. “In theory, we should be united by the same thing,” one said, "which is liberty for Venezuela."
