That's how you can tell human authors from AI.

AI will put in some em dashes, then apologise and take them out when told off.

Human authors will climb the filing cabinet, hissing, and defend their right to em dashes with a loaded stapler.
Em dashes, like anything, should be used in moderation. Check first with your editor if em dashes are right for you. 😉

being an American citizen who can vote is like being responsible for a fully automatic weapon in a big glass case; it's not enough to abstain from its use, you need to actively prevent misuse, because there's a giant gun there in a glass case and people want to use it, and tell you so.

lol pulling another sign out is king shit. 1 king after all
Trump supporters surround, scream, and chant at a lone protester. When one man rips his sign out of his hands he opens his backpack and pulls out another.

Law enforcement and event security did nothing but watch and later told him that if things escalated he would be removed.

Gavin Newsom went on TV, called Tom Homan a bitch, and said he if he wanted arrest him he knew where to find him. Maxine Waters told an ICE agent to his if they planned to shoot her they should at least shoot straight.

I really don't know what you want from them right now.
Right now, Dems are hiding in their offices, scrolling their phones fearfully, wondering "how are voters going to feel about the National Guard being deployed?"

The right, meanwhile, is vigorously *attempting to shape* how voters feel about it, filling every medium with coordinated propaganda.

Gonna say something obvious to most: real masculinity defends the defenseless, punches up not down, has compassion, and fights only on behalf of others to battle injustice or evil.

It doesn’t just lift weights and tweet in all caps and listen to Rogan and grow a beard to feel accepted by other men

This is in the house reconciliation bill. It will kill trans folk who need gender affirming care to live and rely on Medicaid.

I see nothing in this administration that wouldn't expand this attitude to anti depressants or ADHD medication, both of which I need to function.
Matthew is correct, the 21 May 19:38 manager's amendment to HR1 would expand the trans medicaid ban to all ages

There’s a lot going on but the situation with the Library of Congress should be a 5-alarm fire in the House and the Senate
The baseless firing of the Librarian of Congress and illegitimate removal of the Copyright Office Director is an assault on Congressional authority and independence.

I've asked the Library of Congress Inspector General to investigate potential improper access to confidential congressional data.

Hitler's Thousand Year Reich lasted twelve years, four months & eight days.

We need to commemorate all the victims & remember where ideologies of hatred may lead humanity to.

BREAKING: DOGE is starting to put together a team to migrate the SSA's computer systems entirely off one of its oldest programming languages in a matter of months, potentially putting the integrity of the system—and the benefits on which tens of millions of Americans rely—at risk.

Congrats to The Residence for being the first murder mystery show to make me cry in the finale. It's delightfully authentic with local shots - Silver Spring, MARC, and MetroBus! - but it eventually reveals itself to be a love letter to American values and tradition, as imperfect as they are.
