Chasing the shiny bits in the dark. Punishing my legs for not being rocket packs. Passionate about density, transit, walkability, and cycling infrastructure.

Recovered “avid cyclist”. Big YIMBY.

Seattle, Capitol Hill, but I’m not cool. He/him.

I’d be curious how well this works on rough pavement like a lot of the roads in Seattle.

@seattledot.bsky.social any chance we could do a trial with these? I feel like a score of these and some volunteers could actually make a solid dent in the city’s slippery leaf soup bike lanes.
Have you ever seen a bike lane sweeper - pulled behind a bike?

Volunteers in Kirkland have a new tool that attaches to the back of an e-bike. It's good for protected bike lanes, sidewalks, and narrow trails.

It makes even less sense for the pope to be against polyamory since in the Heavenly Realm there are no numerics, and therefore the delineation between monogamy and polyamory is meaningless.

All DOGE accomplished was purging critical government staff, handing private data to outsiders, and sentencing thousands in developing countries to death by gutting USAID.

I don’t say this lightly: if there were any justice in this world, the people responsible for this devastation would be in jail
DOGE 'doesn't exist' with eight months left on its charter
U.S. President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency has disbanded with eight months left to its mandate.

DOGE was not a money-saving effort. It was an effort to chase down and prove right-wing conspiracy theories. They went after USAID to prove conspiracy theories about foreign aid. Then they went after SSA to, again, pursue conspiracy theories about Dems paying "illegals" to vote. 1/2

Bluesky not addictive to teens but definitely a crutch for elder millennials who know too much about the Bajoran war.

Meta, YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat know how addictive their platforms can be to teens.

Those are allegations a group of school districts is making against the social media giants, according to a newly unsealed legal filing that quotes the companies’ own internal documents. https://cnn.it/3Xjq5x5

This is a devastating indictment. Musk's DOGE project was a lethal vanity show, projecting 14 million needless deaths by 2030 while slashing 211,000 jobs. A catastrophic failure of libertarian fantasy governing.

I had a Loretta’s NW tavern burger on Saturday for the first time since before 2020, and it really is the perfect bar burger.

In 2018 Thrillist named it the 4th best burger in the country.

I don’t care about rankings like that. I just know it was and still is delicious.

An hour ago a guy crashed on his bike on the slippery wet tile stuff around Westlake on the slippery wet leaves trying to turn from Pine onto 5th.

How many crashes like this happen everyday due to our mediocre and bad infrastructure which we have zero data on and disincentivizes people from biking?
