Hi 👋🏻 here's some of what I like and enjoy in no particular order... the Pittsburgh Penguins, reading Romance, movies, music, true crime, Survivor (though I don't ever post about it because I loathe spoilers), and listening to podcasts about all of them!

Indiana Republican state senator. I appreciate her not caving, but they are all still afraid to ever use Trump’s name. I guess doing so exponentially increases the threats. Trump rules the GOP with fear and intimidation. What a broken party.

A lot of what Trump is doing can be called next-level awful, at least in its egregiousness.

But one thing he's about to do that no president has ever done. And it's something Republicans have dreamt about doing forever.

Millions of Americans are about to be intentionally uninsured by the GOP.
For the first time in US history, the GOP is intentionally uninsuring millions of Americans
Paul Ryan's wettest dream is about to come true. And it's everything Ted Cruz tried to prevent.

The immediate and overwhelming community response that thwarted an ICE raid yesterday will be commonplace in NYC.

At HandsOffNYC.com we’re ensuring it by preparing New Yorkers borough by borough—block by block—on how to nonviolently respond to the unwarranted and unlawful terror ICE imposes on us.
After protestors block ICE in Chinatown, NYC immigrant advocates pledge more resistance
They also called on the NYPD to drop charges against people after clashes with officers.

This guy needs transport from Solano County to LA County (Suisun to Palmdale, CA) if anyone has ideas for getting him there before Monday. His chances of survival are best if he goes asap but I am having a baf time with my neck issues and Chewy isn’t feeling well so I want to keep an eye on him.
Goliath’s hanging in there, not pooping on his own yet but he is more alert and active today and eating for us now unassisted. He’s showing some minor signs of URI, but probably is not going to the emergency vet tonight? Fingers crossed?

When Howard Dean was the Democratic frontrunner for President, he was disqualified, by the media, for yelling "Yeah!" once.

At some point we just have to admit that mainstream media sources are biased.
Remember in 2000 when Al Gore was repeatedly misquoted as having said he invented the internet and that was seen the eyes of many as disqualifying him from office? Simpler times. Today, Trump makes up lies equivalent to "I invented the internet" 30 times a week and no one bats an eye. Good job media

my “AI is over” anecdote is that my wife was hired over the summer to write scripts for a big tech company explaining how to use their AI tools and after many rounds of revisions, the latest notes said “we’re finding a lot of AI fatigue among our users” and to remove all references to AI
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother
