Having to resign from a BBC science show after 16 years and 33 seasons, for not being a transphobe is where we are as a country.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

I love how Google AI now, instead of giving you information about the thing you're searching for, just tells you you're stupid and there's no such thing as the thing you're searching for. And is wrong about that.

RIP Stanley Baxter.
Bing Crosby was already dead by the time his ATV special "Merrie Olde Christmas" aired in 1977. His duet with David Bowie would become a standard, posthumously. Stanley Baxter is now 99, and has outlived Crosby, Bowie, Ron Moody, and four of Bing Crosby's sons (Crosby was a terrible father).

The only reason to release an A.I. generated ad right now is so that companies can issue a press release *saying they did it* because the attention economy has fucked everything and this way the ad gets written about, even though the attention being paid to A.I. is astroturfed BY the A.I. companies.

So Atari's Jammin' prototype has been recovered from VAX tape backups by SynaMax, Dutchman2000. I've hooked it up in MAME, it runs on some kind of Donkey Kong kit hardware with extra YM2151.
