Shouldn't be surprised given how often people vote against their own interests, but seeing pro-A*I game devs is always a trip. Also ironic that they're almost always promoting it regarding someone ELSE'S discipline, as if the leopard won't eventually come to eat their face too.

Lotta folks I know have mixed opinions on this series but so far I’ve enjoyed listening to this audiobook. And weirdly…giving me a tinge of wanting to doodle some of these characters. Might take myself to a cafe with my iPad to see what happens listening to the book?

When I talk about layoffs in games, I really think it's important to note that it includes game journalism which has been decimated. Far too many incredible voices have lost their jobs and way too many platforms have gone up in smoke. Our industry is worse for it.

From my understanding, we're somewhere around 30,000 and 40,000 people laid off in the last few years along with multiple studio closures. The industry can't or won't reabsorb that much talent as it stands and with how it's currently structured.

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

Back at trying to learn to be the most ok woodworker and DIY lad and tonight is learning how to apply filler. Now to let it dry before sanding and patching any that looks off before working on the corner edge wood parts and trim for the shelves to make them feel as solid as I can.
