I'm still, very slowly, making my #indiegame Tiny Tires. 3 months ago I released my first devlog, a tiny devlog, detailing some of the stuff I've been working on. Check it out! www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlIN...

What's this? An actually reasonable, explanatory, clearly understandable take on what AI can and can't be reasonably expected to do (and how the "AI" that works has actually been in tools for years already)?

GOSH

Anyways this is real good

studio execs & major outlets claim AI is "inevitable" and poised to take over Hollywood. the reality is much different. i spoke with filmmakers, producers, and editors about how AI is actually showing up in productions – and what it still can't do:

RIP the legendary Drew Struzan (1947-2025) 😩

Even though we were expecting the news any day now, it makes me very sad. What an artist.

Honestly, it needs to go further than this.

We need to confront the fact that democracy and wealth hoarding cannot coexist. Allowing people to amass the resources of a small state/country allows them to act as such, which is inimical to a shared society of “one person, one vote.”

“No Kings” is great , but we really don't get a functioning democracy back until we internalize, bone deep, the instinctive response to this and every other statement like it: “I don’t care what that rich guy thinks.”

Make it your morning affirmation. Say it ten times at the top of every hour.

More than anything, The Chair Company shows Robinson isn’t just a one-trick pony, and may in fact be the perfect addition to HBO’s comedy line-up alongside Danny McBride and Nathan Fielder.

Our review: bit.ly/46Jw5ot
The Chair Company Season 1, Episode 1 - 7 review: While Tim Robinson’s humor may not hit for every viewer, if you’re already on his vibe, you’ll find a lot to laugh – and scream – about in this hybrid comedy-thriller that exists at the midpoint of sitcom and extended I Think You Should Leave sketch. Score: 8

This is bullshit. The LLM happily spit out words that are used in papers and publications that have previously announced the design and synthesisation of viruses, but it did nothing of the sort. We don't even know if this virus is viable.

Yeah the goal isn't to close Pandora's box on AI so much as to kick the legs out from under the hype machine.

Then it can sit in a corner quietly and if someone finds an actual use case cool. Just not this bullshit.

Ughh, no doubt Canva is putting AI into Affinity.. this sucks..
ramiismail.com
I'm giving it a 50/50 on this being Affinity going AI because what the fuck does this even mean. Might as well start looking around for a replacement.
