the real thing that makes a privateer-like is not factions or different ships to choose, it's not cargo routes or exploring the galaxy. it's that the third or fourth story mission has to have a sudden and extreme difficulty spike such that you just alt-f4

I'm making #StarSpark, a roguelite turn-based fighting game.

In each tournament round two fighters are sent to a planet to survive while making their way towards the only exit. The catch -- the exit only activates when one of them has been KO'd.

Pre-concept art does exist but you're still better off doing a crude pencil sketch to hand to the artist than using AI for it
Keep hearing devs say that they only use ai for "pre-concept art"

There is no pre-concept art. There is concept art. That's where the idea starts. With the concept.
