And because my publisher has told me over and over again, "always be promoting," I cover this history of vaccine fear-mongering through cherry picked case series in my upcoming book, A Pox on Fools.

Pre-orders will help convince Random House to push what I believe is an important piece of work.

This Chex mix recipe is perfect. Great base recipe, perfect as is, but forgiving if you want to monkey around with it.
Make sure the topping is close to “hardball” before pouring.
I baked at 250 for 90 minutes.
Recipe in thread.

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

I know Morrissey is problematic for many reasons, but nobody ever mentioned that he killed a horse and a nun.
It is really so strange.

I have escaped from domestic violence. The domestic violence was not just contained to the home, but also involved weaponization of systems. I hope to do a fuller accounting of what happened one day to bring light to this problem. For now, here is my "Thank You" note to Joe Biden & the VAWA.

The Busan Metro has a lot of pretty art, but this piece stopped us in our tracks.

It’s so simple but brilliant. Both artwork and functional public safety.

Already, we're seeing students in creative fields who don't distinguish between *thinking* about an idea and *generating a prompt* to ask a machine to think for them, because they had a moment of indecision and wanted an instant solution. They can't see how the generated idea *isn't their own*

Hello is it okay for me to gripe about how the Murder, She Wrote box set does NOT come with the Magnum half of this two-part episode and it’s been driving me insane for a decade?
We act like the “Murder, She Wrote” and “Magnum, P.I.” crossover wasn’t the apex of western culture.

This happened to me & @mzspress.bsky.social. The movers who drove MZS.press inventory from Cincinnati to Dallas demanded thousands more dollars on arrival, claiming we hadn't accounted for them having to carry stuff an additional 75 feet and up one floor in a storage facility with an elevator.
Hey everyone,

I hate asking again, but the movers we hired ripped my family off. Quoted us about $4k then extorted another almost $4k. I’m sick from overwork, will have to miss work to recover and we’re down a lot more than planned.
