You know, my lesbian mums didn’t want to have to explain vicious homophobia to me when I was a kid. If I had to deal with that, I think bigots’ children can deal with the mere existence of trans kids.

Again, if you were alive in the 1980s, this is among the most wonderful & truly incredible things you have ever witnessed in your lifetime.

Wow. Conservatives are suddenly threatening "states' rights" because it doesn't suit them? You gotta be kidding me. Almost as if states' rights has been a bullshit excuse to mask racism for 165 years!
NEW: A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.

So, given Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt blindly and instantly defended the Obamas/apes post this morning, which has now been repudiated by the White House, attacked by top GOP Senators, blamed on a staffer, acknowledged by Trump, and since deleted, shouldn’t Leavitt quit?

Every damn day he does something crazy and the entire MAGA leadership bends over backwards to pretend it wasn't crazy and to explain it away.

And then a few hours go by and he comes out and says "no, I did the crazy thing on purpose."

And repeat.

And the media never seems to remember that.
BREAKING: Trump says he 'didn't make a mistake' with his racist video post.

Q:  "A number of Republicans are calling on you to apologize for that post. Is that something you're going to do?"

Trump: "No, I didn't make a mistake."

He adds later: "I guess it was a take off on the Lion King."

The DHS Secretary murdered her own puppy, so we shouldn't be surprised that an agent acting under the DOJ would kick a dog so viciously that he broke one of its ribs, but I hope we're still capable of being shocked to our core.

In a more rational society the thing being slammed as 'radical' by commentators would be the reality of 100,000+ properties in Melbourne sitting empty while increasing numbers are dying on the streets, rather than a policy aiming to ensure those properties are actually used to house people.
