Sometimes I think about how from 1935-1975ish, Bell Labs produced an insane amount of revolutionary science and technology, including 11 Nobel Prizes, the transistor, UNIX, C, the laser, the solar cell, information theory, etc. The secret? Provide scientists with ample, steady, no-strings funding.

It's important that Puerto Rico is an American territory and that Puerto Ricans are American citizens.

A more vital point is that no one is less American because they speak Spanish or have darker skin. And, folks from anywhere can become Americans, and they're no less American than those born here.
