I have a whole thesis on the governing ethos of the Times and similar as 'weakly held liberalism' - people immersed in a liberal social context without any genuine belief or principle backing it up, who thus idealize conservatism as authentic and strong.
I honestly think a lot of it is that the NYT crowd really are the 'coastal elites' everyone complains about, so they went to find the Minnesota working class they expected: old, white and racist.
It never occurred to them to look for communities that didn't look like that.

Not really a narrative game per se, but I feel very strongly that the lack of urgency/a time limit was a big part of why I loved Pikmin 1 but bounced off Pikmin 2.
Pikmin 1 was a game that ran on the dopamine rush of a well-executed plan; without a real penalty for failure that is less rewarding

This is one of those things that is ultimately a result of player preference, rather than a design shortcoming. Gamers *hate* timers in narrative games. Absolutely hate them
games almost never manage the illusion of time well, in fairness, see Baldur's Gate 3.

Pretty excited for the Chaotix audio drama, not just because it's nice to see Vector et al do... anything outside of the IDW comics, but also because it signals a willingness on Sega's part to use Sonic characters in experimental, narrative-driven ways.

The galling thing is that even if you ignore, as others have pointed out, that the pastor was in fact acting field director of ICE in that area, these goons have absolutely no problem brutalizing clergy when they stand against them. We have mountains of documentation of that fact.
