These guys always project what they’d like to do with power. I doubt the idea of using his office to convert a single person to Islam has ever crossed Mamdani’s mind. But Tuberville sure would try it with whatever cross burning Christian sect he belongs to.
Tuberville: “We just saw what happened in NY. We lost NY. It will be completely Muslim in 3-4 years. That’s what they want. And it’s going to spread throughout the country.”

You know I usually absolutely despise when the owners get the championship trophy before any of the players, but in the case of the Dodgers it seems fitting.

entire press has gotten bullied into treating charlie kirk as if he was one of the most important americans alive and not a modestly popular podcaster

I know Van's speaking from the heart and I appreciate his thoughts, but what does a "respectful dialogue" about race look like? Just because Kirk was polite doesn't mean he wasn't also a very clever manipulator of media figures so that they would do exactly what Van's doing here - giving him cover.

Let’s not forget that the Wall Street Journal literally fabricated a claim that the shooter was trans and leftist. When in reality, the shooter appears further right then Charlie Kirk.

Corporate media proudly remains complicit in the rise of fascism in America.

I think the question is how widespread it becomes but gun violence is so normalized in the United States it'd be surprising if anything, good or bad, comes from the assasination. Even more senseless death from an insane country obsessed with murder sticks
I don’t disagree with the point being made here, but also they do this like every three weeks. They were calling for Civil War about the Cracker Barrel logo.
Rufo calling for mass arrests, Blake Masters & Cernovich calling for RICO against Dem & left funders, and a whole lot of everyday people begging for martial law, or, even worse, "gloves off." 99.9% of whom are just spouting off, but today if anything teaches us the damage that one .1% fool can do.

An enormous number of kids in Florida are going to die unnecessarily.
About this Florida vaccine story:

When they were little - 1 yr and 3 1/2 - my two older boys, who’d had all their shots, got whooping cough.

We asked their pediatrician what would’ve happened if they hadn’t been vaccinated.

“Oh, they’d have died.”

Your Labor Day reminder that if the minimum wage increased at the rate of inflation & productivity since 1960 it'd be $28 today—not $7.25. Meaning—billionaires & corps have stolen at least $21/hour from working Americans for 60 years.

We don't suffer a lack of resources—but from an excess of greed.

The answer is basically: If we show up to vote, even an extreme Republican gerrymander is surmountable.

Which aligns with what I've always said: Showing up to vote is the best defense of them all for leftists.
How will Republican gerrymandering impact Democrats' chances in the House?

I loaded up the proposed maps in TX and CA, and made some guesses elsewhere, to see what vote margin Dems will need in order to win the majority next year. The answer may surprise you!
