It’s hard to convey just how much Chicagoans are mobilizing against ICE. Don’t want to downplay the harm, or make it seem like a fair fight. Yes. But remember: Know Your Values, Frame The Debate. Do not accept an unfavorable frame from hostile questioners! It is very hard to do this and requires explicit training because we are socialized from a young age to respond to questions directly (accepting the questioners frame)
Not to defend this word salad much, but part of this tendency of mainstream Dems is because the media relentlessly asking, "how will you do/pay for that". And if the Dem actually coughs up a workable detailed plan, the media just declare it unworkable. Something they NEVER do to Trump or the GOP.

I’m so struck by this video. A regular day in Logan Square in front of a grocery store and ICE pulls up and tear gassed people. Funston Elementary School is right across the street as well. This is a major corridor in Logan Sq. No concern for human safety
