Democrats want to abolish ICE, you quisling
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

Every other “reporter” in that room that doesn’t walk out immediately when Trump does this should never be seen as professional or credible again. I’d say they should be ashamed of themselves, but appropriate shame seems to be one of the casualties of the Trump era in the United States.
Trump to Kaitlan Collins after she pressed him on getting justice for Epstein survivors:

"No wonder CNN has no ratings because of people like you. You know, she‘s a young woman. I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen you smile. I‘ve known you for 10 years. I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen a smile in your face."

I encourage you to consider that the @cato.org is right about this
The US immigrant population generated more in taxes than they received in benefits from all levels of government every year from 1994 to 2023.

The Cato study provides the first-ever 30-year analysis of the fiscal effects of immigration on government budgets.

Epstein is the most garish and harrowing manifestation of this but oligarchy makes life miserable in a thousand other ways. A core point of democracy is that no one should have so much power that they can make themselves everybody's problem. We should have a political party that believes that
The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

Again, it has all been “Everyone’s just pretending that he doesn’t need to be immediately impeached & removed” since he started monetizing his hotel three blocks from the White House in 2017. The constitution literally isn’t more clear about anything else than this.

What I find so demoralizing is starting with an end goal of finding a way to keep government open rather than finding a way to use the threat of shutdown to end ICE; Possible? Perhaps not. But "abolish ICE" must be the starting position. Reforms are just putting a cup full of diarrhea on a doily.
