Because Congressional Republicans voted against extending the health care tax credits, families are seeing their premiums double or triple.

Now they're considering junk plans, going without coverage, or delaying starting a business.

Trump talks a big game when it comes to supporting our troops, but in reality, he’s willing to eliminate nurses and doctors that help veterans every day. That’s pretty shameful.
Exclusive: The Department of Veterans Affairs will abruptly eliminate as many as 35,000 health care positions this month, mostly unfilled jobs.

The cuts come after a massive reorganization effort already resulted in the loss of almost 30,000 employees.
VA plans to abruptly eliminate tens of thousands of health care jobs
Strains on the Veterans Affairs system could grow with the elimination of as many as 35,000 mostly unfilled health care positions, including doctors and nurses.

Tragic news about the loss of Rob and Michele Reiner. They were a source of light and good in movies, TV and public advocacy. Many happy memories of spending time with Rob and Michele, including during his many appearances on Bill Maher.

John, Abigail, and I want to wish the entire Jewish community a happy Hanukkah. It is especially important to gather together after the horror in Australia.

Nobody wants to think about skyrocketing prices during the holidays.

But this year, if you’re buying gifts for your loved ones and see that they are more expensive than last year, thank Trump’s tariff taxes.

No parent should ever have to choose between medicine for their kid or groceries for their family.

But since Republicans voted 13 times to let the health care tax credits expire, millions of American families could be forced to do just that

A horrific terrorist attack at Bondi Beach targeting Jewish Australians celebrating Hanukkah. My heart is with the victims, their families and the entire Jewish community. We must stand against antisemitism and hate in all forms.

Did our vets refuse to give back medals to melt into gold bars/coins/ballroom sconces for Trump?

Truly the worst vets’ Christmas present ever.

27% of farmers, including Aaron from Polk County, Iowa, are on the health insurance marketplace.

Because Republicans have voted against extending the health care tax credits 13 times, these farmers could see their premiums double or even triple.

Congressional Republicans know Americans are furious about skyrocketing premiums and the nearly $2,000 Trump tariff tax hitting every family—yet they’re more worried about Trump attacking them than about doing the right thing.

I just voted YES on extending the ACA tax credits and preventing health premiums from doubling next year.

I’ve voted to protect these credits over a dozen times because Georgians can’t afford this.

Sadly, Republicans in DC keep voting it down.

It has been nearly 30 years since Congress passed Section 230 and gave platforms immunity from lawsuits.

Our children deserve a safer internet and tech companies need to be held accountable for what happens on their platforms.

Democrats have been willing to negotiate.

We’ve offered compromises to extend the health care tax credits so millions do not see their insurance premiums double.

Every time, congressional Republicans have turned us down and refused to stand up for their own constituents.

This is the wrong approach—and most likely illegal.

As I explained in the NYT this week, we need a strong federal safety standard, but we should not remove the few protections Americans currently have from the downsides of AI: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/09/o...

Republicans in Congress have now voted THIRTEEN times against extending the health care tax credits.

That’s THIRTEEN votes to allow premiums to spike for millions.

Americans are already speaking out across the country. They want action—and that momentum will only grow.

TODAY we are voting to prevent millions of Americans from seeing their premiums double by extending the health care tax credits.

Americans will see if Congressional Republicans stand with them or vote for skyrocketing costs.

The truth: inflation is up because of President Trump’s tariffs.
Powell: "Inflation for goods has picked up, reflecting the effects of tariffs."

Democrats are fighting to lower health care costs.

President Trump is calling affordability a “hoax.”

But Americans know the truth: They can read their bills and see their premium increases.

President Trump's repeated wholesale attacks on Congresswoman Omar and Minnesota's Somali-American community must stop. This hate and division has no place in our politics.

Of course Trump would give the economy an A+ after he rigged it to enrich him, his family and billionaires...

But for the rest of America?

Higher utility bills.
Higher grocery bills.
Historically high mortgage rates.
And skyrocketing health insurance bills.

My heart goes out to the families and community members affected by the fire at the Masjid Hamza Al-Mahmood mosque and school in Prior Lake. I’m glad to hear there are no reported injuries and grateful for the firefighters and other first responders who took action.
