My heart goes out to the families and community members affected by the fire at the Masjid Hamza Al-Mahmood mosque and school in Prior Lake. I’m glad to hear there are no reported injuries and grateful for the firefighters and other first responders who took action.

More and more businesses are asking for relief from Trump’s tariff taxes because they raise costs and undermine their ability to succeed.

We must end these reckless across-the-board tariffs.

Every American deserves a path to good-paying jobs.

That’s why I introduced the bipartisan Skills Investment Act—to expand tax-advantaged education savings accounts so workers can access training, apprenticeships & professional development needed to succeed in today's economy.

Donald Trump ran on lowering costs.

Now he refuses to negotiate on the simplest and easiest way to ensure millions of Americans don’t face skyrocketing insurance costs.

All he has to do is extend existing credits to prevent massive upheaval. He refuses to do the bare minimum.

AI holds immense promise, but it also enables scams and deepfakes that harm Americans. States are leading with responsible safeguards. President Trump’s executive order threatens to override them.

We should not undo the few protections Americans have.

Congress has long used its power to establish independent agencies to protect Americans without undue political pressure.

It is deeply troubling that conservative justices appear ready to give the president even more unchecked power.

Justice Kagan put it best:

Farmers are being hurt by the President’s tariffs. The assistance announced today will clearly benefit some farmers now, but a one-time payment is not a long-term fix—only restoring these markets can do that.

The administration’s step toward reversing the longstanding, science-based recommendation that all newborns be vaccinated against Hepatitis B will increase preventable cancers and cost lives.

As 40 leading medical, health and patient groups put it: “we will all pay a price.”

84 years ago today, our nation was attacked at Pearl Harbor.

In the face of that darkness, America united and rose to the challenge. We remember the lives lost and honor the courage of those who stood against fascism.

Millions of Americans & thousands of RIers are at risk of losing their health insurance in a matter of weeks.

Democrats have a concrete plan to address huge health insurance premium spikes. Republicans need to join us at the table.

Since 2021, over 41,000 Rhode Islanders have relied on enhanced Obamacare subsidies to afford health insurance. What happens when those expire?

I am working with Sen. Graham to pass legislation to help bring home thousands of Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia. Standing with Ukraine means confronting the cruelty of taking kids from their families and making clear why we must stay united against Putin’s aggression.

The time for talk is over, the time for action is now.

If Congressional Republicans don't act to extend the health care tax credits by next week, millions of Americans will see their premiums double or even triple.

I testified at a bipartisan hearing about the thousands of Ukrainian kids abducted by Russia.

I recently joined some of the kids who have been rescued—including Sashko, whose grandma saved him, and Veronika, who was trapped for her 13th & 14th birthdays—to meet with Pope Leo.

An update on the fight over health insurance premiums:

Republicans have basically stopped negotiating. Trump is more focused on his ballroom than these cost hikes.

Later this month, Senate Democrats will force a vote on this - one last chance for GOP to do the right thing.
