"defund the police" was so obviously correct. I really don't care if it doesn't poll well. it's like telling me that I should stop saying I like vaccines if they stopped polling well.

if your beans didn't soften while cooking it's not because you salted too early. it's not because you added too much acid. it's not because the beans are too old. it's because you're impure of heart and the beans Know

Ever watch an anime set in a Japanese high school and think, "it shoulda been me"? Well, you're in luck. A company in Japan is inviting tourists to attend an abandoned campus in Chiba and live out an authentic Showa high school experience.
I cannot stress enough that the American people protested, donated, subscribed, and voted in record numbers in 2018 and 2020 and then those institutions that they propped up in opposition to Trump sought to accommodate him instead. And here we are.
I continue to think that we won’t see a 2017-style liberal media addiction/subscription surge. Anger at how the media covered this, no more sense that something could break and end his presidency… I just see a lot of people tuning out for a bit.

any serious engagement with trump v. united states and the process that led to it has to conclude that john roberts is, in substance, intelligence and basic integrity and fidelity to the constitution, the worst chief justice since roger taney and one of the worst justices to ever sit on the court

Goatee dude sitting behind Trump watching him talk about a long-dead pro golfer's massive dong near but not quite at the tail end of a 177-word sentence that started out being about manufacturing jobs: "I can't wait for this guy to make my life better by having the cops shoot my neighbors."

It's always amazing to hear the rhetoric about Lina Khans's "radical anti-business" FTC, and then look at the actual policies and they are like "companies shouldn't be able to drain you like a leech for the rest of your life because you joined a gym once."

For as long as I can remember, anti-choice Republicans have been saying something like "we protect the unborn but we're also going to support mothers to make sure they can raise their children," and then once elected they immediately propose eliminating food stamps from the federal budget
