what always confuses me about this discourse is that elite colleges have been like this for decades, but people act like it's a new phenomenon every time. maybe students weren't getting disability exemptions 20 years ago, but it was widely known Harvard et al handed out As like candy.

no one really seems to be going through the motions of even trying to pretend that trump's doctors are implicitly trustworthy this time around. when I suggested one of trump's covid docs wasn't being honest back in 2020, an extremely online nurse wanted me hanged in the town square.

Anthony is making a point about teaching. He did not endorse the University's disciplinary response. Giving an F at 50% or a C- plus a "please see me during office hours to discuss" note would have been smarter & more appropriate. At most, the school should have advised as much & walked away.
