I believe that with each other, we are stronger than we know;
I believe we're stronger than they know.

“Doctors won’t tell you this, but you don’t need medication for a tapeworm—all you need is the natural power of friction,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said as he dropped to the floor, lifted his legs high, and dragged his ass along the White House carpet during a press conference.
RFK Jr. Demonstrates How To Remove Tapeworm By Scooting Ass Across Carpet

I do not care if people want to get fillers, but it is still very refreshing to a face full of wrinkles on a woman's face. Linda Hamilton is lovely and badass.

yeah it's a big cop culture thing to act like you are under extreme threat at all times. and there is a lot of institutionalized panic about what people might do with their cars in particular.
I have to be honest. this isn't meant to downplay the seriousness of what's happening now, and this isn't meant to be glib. But this is also how ALL cops act. The first time I got screamed at like this by a cop, I was 16, because of a traffic jam in the school parking lot. Every single one of them
I think it is probably a bad idea to put clearly unhinged, angry psychopaths in federal law enforcement positions.

A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

That vibe isn't coming back. Let it go. Cry to your leopards about it.
Update, she now knows that I know and I can tell because she's trying to engage me in overly friendly shenanigans. Pass.

No, I don't think I will, actually.

I'd read that in a heartbeat.
Ideally it would follow a newer psychiatrist from a part of the country that doesn't have whatever the fuck's wrong with Gotham going on with it who tries to actually *help* with the psychological issues of some of the Rogues' Gallery.
An idea that's been jangling around my head for the past few days: a comic mini-series or novella about life inside the Amadeus Arkham Institute of Mental Health, working more with the tone of the Dini-influenced works than with the Moore-influenced tone taken with other efforts.

My point is not ultimately about self-conception of identity, though "Born This Way" fails for a lot of us on that level too.

I want us all to be cognizant, however, that demanding mercy for a characteristic we cannot change from a society going for Eugenics 2 is a VERY, VERY BAD IDEA.

For the love of god, just download and use Libre Office. It’s free and you can save .docs and there’s no weird AI tacked on. I use it for work. No one has ever been able to tell it apart from word. You don’t need Microsoft office products at all. I promise. I proooomiiiiissseeeeee.
Microsoft is going to price gouge you by adding their genAI to your subscription without your consent, and they are not transparent about how to avoid this bullshit.

Here's how to change your subscription back to "Classic" for a lower charge without Copilot: answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffi...

Like I don't know gang, I think "Born This Way" was perhaps a historically necessary step, but we have ceded far too much ground to the idea that we are only this way because we don't have a choice.

If you gave me a choice to not be a trans dyke I'd spit blood in your face.
