Stalking has long plagued the entertainment industry but it wasn't until the murder of one rising star that legislation became a reality.

I wrote about Rebecca Schaeffer.

Hamnet features a stunning use of a now-familiar piece of music in its heart-aching climax, but it also signals a tipping point. Hollywood, you can now no longer use Max Richter's On the Nature of Daylight in movies or TV.

I wrote about it for @avclub.com!

It's time to give "On The Nature Of Daylight" a rest
"On The Nature Of Daylight" is becoming a cheap needledrop, and Hamnet's finale might be the last time a filmmaker can get away with it.

Hey, I'm about a hundred followers away from 3k! My newsletter is way more ethical than Ryan Lizza's!
In 2008, right before she was placed under a conservatorship, Britney Spears's much publicised breakdown was the focus of a Rolling Stone profile that declared her to be "an inbred swamp thing" and the face of GWB's failing America.

I wrote about it.

Issue 32: We Were All Complicit In The Downfall of Britney
As she experienced the most public breakdown in modern celebrity history, Rolling Stone tried to make sense of the chaos.

This coupled with Lizza sitting on all of these revelations just to drop them in a petty newsletter makes me want to fumigate the entire political journalism world. Just staggering levels of unethical nonsense.
god I hope Olivia Nuzzi never gets paid even one more cent by a single publication for the rest of her life

Lynne Ramsay's Moby-Dick in space movie.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

There's a depressingly long tradition of insider/beltway journalists hoarding all their info as fodder for their books, and it's actively damaging to society, but doing it for Substack clicks feels especially low.
something i'll note is that if nuzzi ran catch-and-kill ops for rfk jr and lizza knew this prior to him being appointed as HHS, and instead of telling anyone, he decided to save it for his substack long after rfk jr had made communicable disease into federal policy, that's completely fucked

Anyone else feel like the tone of every dude wronged by Olivia Nuzzi has gotten into some, for lack of a better term, revenge porn-esque rhetoric? I don't think we need to defend this hack and her professional ineptitude to call out how gross all of her exes have been in their giddiness.
