Buscema was the first artist whose work I fell in love with. I got the second Rom Omnibus for Christmas, so I've been rereading a lot of old favourites of his.

It sounds like he was a great guy, and there's no doubt he was a fantastic artist.
Sal Buscema, beloved comics artist, passes away

Sal Buscema, a veteran comics artist and part of the famed Buscema family of Marvel artists, has passed away. He was 89 years old when he died on Friday, and the news broke today, on what would have been his 90th birthday.

Obviously, but anyone notable telling the public this stuff is going to be destroyed in short order. If the left/lib bloc can’t deliver Thatcherism enforced by crackdowns, then they will be replaced by the reactionary/fascist one, whatever it takes to get it done.

Happy #hottest100 day! I'm not expecting all of my votes to make it, but I love this day, and I know a few will.

In AEW, Brody King, the man who has done THREE ABOLISH ICE fundraisers to help those affected by ICE in Los Angeles and Minneapolis, is now challenging for the AEW Men's World Championship against the rich bad guy, MJF, on AEW Dynamite.

And we fuckin LOVE to see it.

Sure! This is an easy one:
Bad candidates, worse campaigns, actively harmful leadership, a refusal to stand up for anyone, and a failure on every level to meet the moment.
Damn, "the voters" are quite angry with the Democrats for being in the minority. Do they not know how that happened?

The far right obsession with London is vital in their playbook. People who don’t live there are told constantly it’s a crime ridden hell hole with no go areas. It’s just not true on every measure - it’s a hugely successful and multicultural city, and that’s why they hate it.
Khan: "[London is] one of the safest.. cities in the world when it comes to homicide. We're safer than Paris, Milan, Rome, Brussels, Berlin.. two and half times safer than NY, 5 times safer than LA, 12 times safer than Chicago.. those that spread lies have a problem with London"

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

Someone made $400K by predicting Maduro's capture. Here's what happened

when you realize gamers are mad about women being "not hot" in games is about control and not horniness, their intentions become clearer, their worldview darker. patriarchy must be violently enforced.

it's not about good ol' wholesome horniness because any game worth playing can be modded for that.

See, I'd offer that the trick is: A solid classical education doesn't necessarily make YOU a better person, but it WILL equip you to not be so easily impressed by someone who is a BAD person but has been educated so as to dress it up in dignified airs.
But I don't think it makes you a *morally* better person. It might be one of the ways your morality is shaped or the language you use to express it, but it's a vessel, not the substance. We do not, after all, think of professors of English Literature as an unusually virtuous bunch.
