apparently graham linehan has been reported to the police for stalking dr. beth upton.

like at a certain point the establishment is gonna have to acknowledge that he's a dangerous piece of shit. just bcos they agree with his bigotries doesn't mean he should be above the fucking law.

Polanski’s line on “bums” was, among other things, a terrible message the two-thirds of people who work in social care who are *from* the UK. But to the people on the sharp end of the ugly turn in British politics since Labour came to office, “crass” is better than “at best equivocal on race hate”.

If I had a nickel for every friend of mine who recently got signed off from work at a game company for stress and/or overwork, before being laid off within a few weeks of that, I would have almost a handful of nickels, which is fucked up.

Hello, I’m Keir Starmer and I’m a former human rights lawyer, so you can trust me when I tell you human rights are bad and need to be eradicated

Whoooooooo remembers when Plaid, The SNP, the Greens, some Tories and even Sinn Fein were making it clear they were open to forming an emergency Labour-led government to stop hard Brexit but Jo Swinson said no
The thing I still can't forgive Corbyn for is the generational harm he caused by enabling Brexit. When Starmer is gone, hopefully soon, I will feel the same way about the profound harm he has caused by making it palatable for the Far Right to ditch human rights norms. It will be his shameful legacy.

“There are also question marks over his politics, with some of Carns' colleagues admitting that they do not know what he believes beyond more defence spending.” LMAO

You know, infuriating and a shameful betrayal though the BBC and other media's misreporting of the Sandie Peggie judgment is, it also doesn't really matter.

What matters is the judgment which lawyers will read, use to advise their clients, and inclusion will be the winner.

If the reporting on the Peggie decision tells us anything, it should be that the way news gets reported in this country has little to do with truth, and much more to do with narrative - as well as whose heavily spun press release lands on journos desks first.

Every facet of generative AI has made my professional life worse, without question, but THIS specific aspect has been driving me NUTS.

Clients, who have made me toil for weeks over indescribably small details, are now approving & producing in-house commercial artwork that looks like a fever dream.
I feel the clients now using GenAI to do stuff and going "good enough" when they used to nitpick at every last detail is due to them finding out all those nit picky changes take time and work they cant be bothered to put in.

Oh, here's a big surprise. The transphobes don't believe in ADHD either.
then, the transphobes , feeling victorious at how many people they have made unhappy and despairing in the previous week, move on to anything else that has a spectrum and the possibility of more colours than they can conceive - such hateful people - they cannot understand anything that is not THEM

heroin is already widely available!! decriminalisation is part of a range of measures which aims to solve that problem in a way that criminalising drug use has failed to achieve!!
Problem is, the Greens do want heroin to be widely available. Maybe not to kids. At least legally. But they're certainly pro legalisation of smack for adults. They want the law to stop intervening in the supply of crack.
properly nuts that Labour won a huge landslide 18 months ago and they’re already so desperate they’ve running with ‘the Greens want to sell your children heroin’
