You walk into this bar and show your ICE mugshot, you don't pay a dime.
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

The CEOs of both Ford and Stellantis, who are there to celebrate the rollback of vehicle emissions standards (which will drive climate change), are standing right behind Trump as he makes these racist comments.
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

Danielle Smith tried to sell her federal-Alberta energy deal to the UCP convention crowd: tepid applause.
She told them that this proved Canada can work well for Alberta’s interests: loud boos.

This ain’t a base that wants Smith to work with a Liberal PM on a better industrial carbon tax.

Canada budget update: A $2.7bn cut to international assistance over 5 years, or about 10-12% of the budget. Particularly focusing on global health, which is worrying because it's a core Canadian priority

Not sure we need a resurgence of polio on top of everything, but what do I know
What I'm looking for in the Canadian federal budget: Development

- Canada's budget for international stuff is complex. There's the International Assistance Envelope, OECD-measured ODA, plus stuff that falls under Canada's own Act. Plus provincial spending. They all overlap

Deux pistes cyclables à Montréal qui compétitionnent avec trois ponts de New York. Je pense que nous ne réalisons pas la chance que nous avons que le vélo prenne une aussi grande place dans notre mobilité collective à Montréal.

This. FWIW no one seems to be listening to those of us still out here beating the drum, trying to explain and understand this stuff anyway. It's depressing how we have this *same conversation* every time. Even more depressing that I need to say "every time" because this violence is so common now.
Too bad the GOP effectively criminalized studying how information moves online and news orgs laid off and demonized all the reporters who covered the burgeoning online accelerationist performative death cults. All of that work was somehow "censorship" that needed to be stopped. Now we're here.

This is an excellent thread which through Judith Butler's notion of "grievability" captures a really important aspect of current moment: the authoritarian mourning that is demanded for some in place of the cultivation of an empathic and universal humanity.
1. Been thinking a lot about Judith Butler’s notion of “grievability” with respect to Charlie Kirk, Gaza, Melissa Hortman and others.

It’s a way of thinking about whose lives are socially recognized as valuable and, therefore, whose deaths are publicly mourned.
The reaction to Kirk’s murder on the right is a reminder that Republicans are the most bad faith people on the face of the planet.
