Gavin Newsom has never had a homeless, a working unhoused, or an affordable housing advocate on his podcast despite governing California.

So yeah I think it’s weird that he’s entertained & platformed multiple fascists while grinning, nodding & relenting to their easily defeatable talking points.

The problem was not labeling Trump correctly as a fascist. The problem was not treating him as one. They still aren’t! That creates a gap where you’re warning people that things are on fire, but instead of evacuating or getting water, you’re casually sitting down with a cup of tea.
You want to know why Chuck Schumer is talking about affordability & not Trump being a fascist? It's because we already tried talking about him being a fascist *& everyone ignored us*.
A big part of why we are at where we are is that much of the world, the press, foreign leaders, a big hunk of US voters, simply refused to believe it when Democrats said Trump would be as bad as he is.

so cool how many people still defend being on the platform that upsells people with an AI to undress its users
so now on xitter when users try to get grok to “put her in a bikini” they get an ad in reply asking them to subscribe to premium to access the image editing features. screenshot showing this below:

This is like a horror movie. This is the machine in every part of DoD now. And its two default functions are sexually humiliating women and detecting Jews. kinda like its creator, and our secretary of “war.”
pretty sure he meant the other thing, grok, but very cool that those are your two things

I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

State-sanctioned rape was the inevitable product of the climate of anti-trans contempt promoted by Sulzberger’s nyt and eagerly adopted by the WH
@rikiwilchins.bsky.social 2026 Jan 14 Prospect: After moving to weaken Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) safety protections for transgender inmates, Trump admin has now removed similar protections at multiple ICE detention centers as well as halted all GAC care for detainees.
ICE Deletes Rape Protection for Trans Immigrants - The American Prospect
The agency this month altered more contracts with private prison companies to remove care and protection measures it took advocates years to win.

Except if they are Palestinian links of course.
Other social apps punish links — we think linking out should be easy. Live Now is part of how we're making that happen.

While in beta, Live Now is currently limited to Twitch links. Support for other streaming platforms may follow as we learn from the beta.

Even if this were true, "naked underage images" is a red herring. There were reports of infants depicted in bikinis with simulated semen on their faces. Nudity is so obviously not the red line here that I cannot believe govts are entertaining these statements, let alone "welcoming" them.
I see Musk is in See No Evil mode.

Schumer has been brushing aside every call to stop the genocide in Gaza. He's also brushing aside every call to defund ICE. You don't need a historian to explain the common element there.
If you think the violence the US government does around the world isn’t directly tied to the violence they do among their own people- here’s a short thread of US cities with mainly decommissioned military vehicles to use against their own citizens

But yeah, there is still every chance that exactly the same crimes can be committed against British women and children, they’ll just now have no direct evidence that it’s happened.

Musk is fighting hard to keep CSAM and exploitative material on Twitter. That’s the story.

BBC report at a headline level that Grok will now not make sexually exploitative images any more. An actual reporter comes on and explains that it will do no such thing, and will just make the images invisible in the UK. These are two very, very different things.

“Weapons will be fired.”

“Protesters could go too far,” in the active voice because they have agency and can be blamed for not stopping what they’re doing.

But “weapons will be fired” by some mysterious unnamed force, apparently. It will just happen, like a hurricane.
Language: "But even some of those in favor of the community defense efforts were on edge that protesters could go too far. Residents said they were worried that with the number of agents patrolling the area and heightened tensions, weapons will be fired, deliberately or by accident."

we've sort of reached the platonic ideal of the paradox of tolerance here. they've repudiated the social contract, thus it definitionally no longer protects them or binds you vis-a-vis them
If you won't bring severe consequences for these relentless crimes against humanity, if you won't even consider it, if you won't even try then what is the point of you? Not just as a politician; as a human being.
I want these fuckers prosecuted. I will not vote for a candidate who shies away from this.

Why is it when people hear about pedophiles in a pizza shops basement, they are willing to kick in the doors guns blazing. But when we know where the pedophiles really are... crickets.
Twitter is the world’s largest generator of CSAM & non-consensual porn by a margin of about 8000%, and somehow… MSM isn’t even reporting on it.

This isn't just a casual observation. Fascism scholars have long made this point. It's why calling them "weird" was a more effective strategy than talking about the prices of eggs. Fascism is an aesthetic political movement - you need to make people feel embarassed and horrified by it.
one of the most effective weapons we have against fascism is mockery, especially when its really funny
It occurs to me all the yelling at ICE in MPLS isn't merely funny. Getting made fun of like this is awful for morale. ICE is losing field officers faster than it can wave them through training, and a big part of it is how little of this these little weasels can take.

In Graham's numbers aren't a lie, he makes at least 75K a year from Substack.

For four years, 70-75% of his Substack was written by an unpaid woman.

When she "retired" last year he "employed" another woman to write. She has now quit.

Still, his followers don't care. They pay him for existing.
