DISCOUNTED CALENDARS- We have some discounted slightly damaged calendars on sale!! These have very minor imperfections mostly on the covers but the majority if not all of the calendar is in tact!

Tanuki was taken to the vet last week for a lump on her side and I think the medication is doing something!? When I adopted her last year she wasn’t handleable so to get her to a point where she can be handled by a vet is such amazing progress. Shes getting old now at around 1 year and 8 months

My therapist asked me why is it what I’ve chosen to adopt hamsters , an animal with such a short lifespan, if I struggle so badly with grief and animal death. But I get a lot of satisfaction and joy taking care of these animals who had such a bad start. I have the resources and knowledge to do so

It’s now been a full week since we brought home Odin from our local shelter and he is such a happy little guy! He doesn’t flinch when being touched and will climb onto my hand if my jumper is covering it! In time I hope to get him to a place where I can pick him up so health checks will be easier

The third batch of calendars are now back on the shop! They keep selling out but this really is the last time I’m printing them!!

I mention the price of the vets visit because if my posts about Odin and Tanuki make you want a hamster, the vet costs need to be considered! Odin’s 100x50x50 cage was £140 GBP plus the bedding, the food, the wheel, the hides, they are not cheap pets when cared for ethically
Tanuki has a lump on her side and today I took to the vets to get it looked at. It’s too small for a biopsy but doesn’t seem to be causing her any distress, thankfully! I’ve been given medication to try for 2 weeks. This vet visit cost me £110 but this is what you sign up for with a pet
