Silksong’s fascination with religion is obvious from the beginning. But only in examining the game’s conclusion(s) does its perspective become clear — this is a story about the apocalyptic finish line, a story about the end of stories. And it is also about what comes after.

My dad was too good of a Stanley
What's a game even a non-gamer can enjoy? Turns out it's not The Stanley Parable.

It's my favorite annual episode of MinnMax, where we're instructed to pick our 3 favorite game songs of the year and I instead pick 10
The new episode of The MinnMax Show is now live everywhere! We review Metroid Prime 4 and listen to tons of great game music from this year. Any help sharing the show is appreciated, our yearly music episode is typically a views underperformer but we love doing it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAP2...

My sister gave me an early birthday present of @jacobgeller.com How A Games Lives. I immediately read Jamil Jan Kochai’s afterwords and was not disappointed. The afterword made me want to read Franz Fanon’s Black Skin, White Mask.

Watched The Master last night and then saw Wake Up Dead Man today and man, it is not an enviable position to be the cinematographer you watch after The Master.

Well we all know that a large portion of the venue needed to be reserved for the (checks notes) 30 remaining games journalists
Devs were only allowed a few (I believe two) tickets per nomination before Geoff charged them. Resale tickets were in the hundreds. And we all know what happened to Future Class (if you don’t, read my piece).

Had a lovely and successful Black Friday! Waited in the cold for an hour and a half for my first ever #RSDBF, but it meant I was able to get everything I was looking for (much more than pictured 😅), and now I have lots to listen to while reading my other big pick-up: @jacobgeller.com's last book! 😊

I still listen to tracks from Let it Die. Literally the only memorable thing about the game.

If you're so intent on skipping anything interesting about development, why not just skip to three months after release and delist your game now.
The original Let It Die was famous for its absolutely amazing soundtrack. Akira Yamaoka went and got in touch with a HUNDRED of his favourite indie bands and commissioned each to do a track named 'let it die'. The result was borderline mystical.

They're AI-generating the music here.

Fuck that.
The Let it Die sequel - Let it Die: Inferno - which is coming out next week (4th December), seems to have been built using a considerable amount of generative AI. https://bit.ly/4ol7lIA

Can’t think of a better advertisement for @nebula.tv than the fact that the top video on the platform is FD Signifier’s essay on Charlie Kirk, which just got taken down on YouTube, even though YouTube had reviewed that much more censored version of the video and approved it.
